Question about Epson Perfection 3490 PHOTO Flatbed Scanner
I have a 2 year old Epson Perfection 3490 PHOTO Flatbed scanner which is usually switched on when my computer is on. Just above the place where the scanning head is parked there is a white deposit on the glass. It appears to be coming from the printed circuit board on the scanning head. My question is does anyone know how to dismantle the glass plate safely so that I can clean the inside surface?
I'd be grateful for any help.
Go to a good elecronic store and buy a power cord.
Juste be sure that you have the info about the cord you lost.
You will find that info here:
Just make sure that the voltage and the amphere is correct.
Any good elecrtonic store have replacement cords stored.
Good luck to you

Disconnect and remove the lid. Remove the two screws on the back of the base. Then use a screwdriver or flat blade to slightly open the back seam. Beginning at the back, run a blade up inside the upper part of the side seam. You will need to release three catches on each side. Once the sides are loose, raise the back of the top, while pushing forward, and the two snap catches at the front will release. The top then lifts off and you can clean the glass. Reassemble in reverse order.
