i turnt the phone off and removed the battery but the same error is still happening. i installed a program called vringo facebook which is meant to show friends profile pictures when they ring but it never worked. when i go to remove programs, that don't show. just wondering if that is associated with the problem.

Turn off the device then turn it back on. that should solve the problem. normally this is because a program on the Palm is still associated with that picture. turning it off and on severs that association.

I hope this has answered your question sufficiently. If you have more questions please post a reply and i would be happy to assist. Thanks.

It would be if you set that picture to be a avatar or picture on facebook. Can you try looking for the program and remove it or atleast deactivate it?

That being the case you might have to reload the OS for the Palm

Depends on what you have loaded. You can check the status on the unit to know the version. Or you can contact Vodaphone and request assistance in realoding the OS.

Check and see if you can download a "mediaimpressions" driver. I have found it is great for downloading photos from any device. GOOD LUCK

Palm 755P Freezes

Well, thank God I had done a recent Hot sync! I found out how to do a hard reset by holding down the power button while reinserting the battery then letting the button go and the system will ask if you want to erase all data? I put yes! Then it erases all my data and restarts the phone. I had to plug the phone in to be recharged because the looping ultimately drains the battery. Then, I plugged in the Hot sync cable and pushed the button to start the sync and ta da! back to its working state! Yippee! Do it! It's easy! Just make sure to hot sync often so your info stays current!

Zire 31. My instalation disk does not include fasilities to download the photo software i need to transfer my photos to handheld. Where can i download/obtain i think its called Palm Photo program

The program is installed in rom, look for program "Media", I suggest you to install for a better freeware program to manage photos on your handheld, like grxview lite (or the shareware resco viewer)

Suncing Media, Photos, Videos and MP3

The Palm Desktop Manager, which is free on the Palm website, can sync all your media to and from your phone. Here is the site, just choose the right OS for your computer.

http://www.palm.com/us/software/palmsoftware.html

When you sync your phone to your PC, it will ask you initially for what you want to sync. You can also do this anytime when you open up the Palm Desktop Manager on your PC. You can drag and drop your MP3s to the music folder on the Palm Desktop Manager and then sync it to your phone. This is the easiest way to get the MP3s on your phone.

You can also move photos/MP3s from your phone to your PC by using a 1GB SD card (the TREO 650 cannot accept any size larger than 1GB, trust me!). Copy your photos/videos/MP3s from your phone to the SD card and then take the card out of your phone. Use a USB Card Reader and connect it to your PC to read the SD card you just removed.

Good luck.

QuickInstall Won't Sync Photos - Why?

Do you notice any change in the way the photos application works on your Palm (such as if you click on it it flickers then goes back to the "home" screen) Also it sounds like syncing other stuff through quick install works, but photos do not, Is this correct? If it is then I would suggest looking through the CD for the photo's application for your palm, and reinstalling just the photo's.
