Question about Garmin StreetPilot C330 GPS Receiver

I turned it on and it lit up and then completely died

We can"t get it to power back up

    Using StreetPilot C330 for 5 months just fine. But today the voice directions were low in volume and then the unit would not power up.

    The screen lights up for a few seconds and then goes blank.

    While using directions unit went black. Turned back on it comes up to Agreement screen, I hit yes and then it turns off. Cannot get it back up. Help

Question: Why won't my StreetPilot c3xx power on?
Found on the Garmin web site --> Answer: If your StreetPilot does not power on, or if it turns on then turns off, you can troubleshoot the problem by resetting or charging the unit. The reset is a "soft" reset that you can perform in the car; it restores power to the unit, but it does not remove data.
To reset the unit:

  1. Place the unit in the cradle and roll it backwards slightly to lock it in place.
  2. With the key in the car ignition, turn on the unit or put it in accessory mode.
  3. On the face plate of the unit, put your thumb nail in the groove under the Garmin logo and gently pull off the face plate.
  4. With the face plate removed, press the reset button on the right side.
  5. Turn the unit back on. If the unit still doesn't power on, you may need to charge it.
To charge the unit:
  1. Using the provided USB cable, connect the device to the computer.
  2. Reset the unit (following instructions above).
  3. Keep the device connected to the computer and allow it to charge overnight (7-8 hours).
  4. After charging, unplug the unit and power it on.

Waking up your c330...

If you left your Garmin c330 on running the battery will have 1% life left. If you turn c330 back on again, it will flash screen for 3 seconds then die, even charging it at this point will not wake it back up. TO BRING IT BACK TO LIFE... plug in the power home or car into Garmin c330. There is a tab in the front Garmin gray frame of your screen. You must take like your fingernails and under the logo "GARMIN" pull the whole gray plastic frame off. Underneath the plastic frame to the right hand side. There is a "RESET" button. Make sure power is plugged in while hitting reset. Your battery should come back to life. Cheers

Last night watching tv, picture cut off (black screen) but power light on set stay on. then after bout 30 seconds the power button went off. Turn set back on , powere light lit but no picture and again...

Here's something to try, it's actually the drum reset and if it's the drum that needs replacing then this will get you going again. Just remember that if you reset this that eventually the drum will start having quality issues because you will be using it past its end of life cycle getting more use out of it then normal and it won't hurt the machine either... hope this helps and if so, please mark Fixya

2) Hold Continue button down, power on the printer, and continue to holding Continue down until the LEDs begin to flash. When the LEDs start to flash, release Continue button. The LEDs will continue flashing until only Error LED will be lit.

3) Close the front door. Continue, Ready/Data, Toner Low and Load Paper LEDs should be lit.

4) Wait till the printer completes the POST process. POST is complete when fan noise and rollers stop. After POST wait for 5 seconds

5) Press Cancel button 4 times slowly until the Toner Low LED is lit. This is the procedure resetting the counter.

6) Press and hold Continue until all LEDs begin to cycle in sequence, then release Continue. Now only the Toner Low LED will be lit.

7) Cycle the power of the printer (turn it off and then back on).

I finally figured it out (with Dell Tech Support's help)! When you replace the drum, you MUST reset the counter as well. All you have to do is:

Try these.

Reset the Photoconductor Drum Counter
1. Turn off the power using the switch on the back of the printer.
2. Open the front door of the printer.
3. Hold Continue button down, power on the printer, and continue to holding Continue down until the LEDs begin to flash.
When the LEDs start to flash, release
Continue button. The LEDs will continue flashing until only Error LED will be lit.
4. Close the front door. Continue, Ready/Data, Toner Low and Load Paper LEDs should be lit.
5. Wait till the printer completes the POST process.
POST is complete when fan noise and rollers stops.
After POST wait for 5 seconds

6. Press Cancel button 4 times slowly until the Toner Low LED is lit.
This is the procedure resetting the counter.

7. Press and hold Continue until all LEDs begin to cycle in sequence, then release Continue.
Now only the
Toner Low LED will be lit.
8. Cycle the power of the printer.


- Remove the power cable

- Wait for 5 seconds

- Plug the power cable back to the printer

- Power the Printer on

Change your AC charger.
It's NOT charging "When the laptop is plugged into the AC, the power meter in windows tells me that the power source is still batteries, and the battery level drops by about 1% every few hours"
That's the reason why: "battery has completely died"
If you do not change it you'll continue to "still it gives me the same low battery indication and will not turn on. "

I have a p35-s609 can not run on AC power, lits in front on,ok battery charges but when dies it will not run on the AC power. Also when you turn off the the button stays blue and you can not start back up...


usually when you have power problems are associated with a dying battery.. have you tried replacing the battery? there's no much you can do besides replacing the battery, getting item serviced (which may cost as much or more than the laptop (if old) or getting a new laptop.
