Sandisc problem I have a 4 gigabyte sandisc how do i take the write protect off

I have a sandisk ultra 4gb card, taken some videos with it. Transferred them to my pc, but now it wont let me put them back on the card so I can put the data onto my partners laptop!!!! I've checked the switch on the card and its unlocked, I've even tried formatting the card but still it comes up this disk is write protected, try again or try another disk.

How do I get around this? all i want to do is put the original data back on the card to transfer to a laptop! something so simple, yet so difficult to be done hmph

How can I find a memory card today for my Digimax S600 camera? Sandisc 4 and 16 Gigabyte do not Work

You need to use SD cards, 2GB or smaller. The S600 does not work with higher capacity SDHC/SDXC cards.

SD cards are getting a bit harder to find, but they should still be available at most department, electronics, or office-supply stores. And, of course, the usual online sources.

On the SD Card adapter housing for a Micro SD card, look along the edges and you will find a small tab. This tab slides back and forth to either lock or unlock the card. It is for write protecting you files.

Sandisc 4 GB memory stick PRO Duo not working

According to the users manual, the camera does not support above 512 MB cards, however I noticed that there is a firmware update which might address the issue. Go to www.sony.com and support, electronics. Put your model number in the selection box and you'll be taken to the drivers download page.

How do I get write protection removed from my SanDisc 2GB memory card?

There should be a small sliding switch in the corner. If you look closely, there should be small icon with a padlock. Move the slide and your SD card will be free to write to.
