Question about Dell Inspiron B130 Notebook

1 Answer

Power supply between battery and 110 voltage

I have the Dell Inspiron B130 PC notebook. I have bought a new transformer and now a new upgraded router. Keep getting kicked off internet and losing wireless connection. Is there a way that I can just be hooked up power wise to 110 volt and can keep on searching the web? I have no manual with the laptop, I bought it used. Thank you. My e-mail is tuffy105@comcast.net.

You can download the manual from this page:

I'd like to help you with your problem but I can't see what the power supply/connection problem relationship is. Perhaps the manual will help-

My inspiron laptop wont turn on after I replaced

Verify that you obtained an exact replacement power adapter for the Dell. If it is an exact replacement then try this. Disconnect power adapter. Remove battery. Reconnect power adapter without the battery. If it turns on, then power off and place battery back in. Then try again. If problem returns, there could be a problem with the battery itself.

Problem with Dell Inspiron Power Supply

Your DC jack is loose on the motherboard.  You can probably get by with desoldering it and resoldering it back on. But if it is damaged in anyway you will have to replace it. You can find them on ebay for around 5 bucks.  If you need step by step directions, feel free to let me know and I'll guide you through it.

My Dell Inspiron B130 wireless connection

Still using same Router with same WLAN protocol?
Same Network driver?
Never Updated?
Wich standard you use? 802.11 B? G? A? N?
Update Router site and client (PC) sit.
Old protocols and driver are much more densitive to interference.
New router, Microwave, Cordless, Remotes can dramatically modify a previously perfect environment.

My laptop battery won't charge

possible when the old AC adapter blew it took part of the power management circuit with it, This is the circuit that detects and charges the battery, I'm not sure whether this a seperate replaceable daughter card or whether it is part of the main motherboard. you will need to investigate this (or send it for a service)
