The element above the fan has brobably gone bad. you can take the grill off of the wall and inspect the coils for breaks with a flashlight. if you do see a break in the coils then the heater is toast.

I have a Cozy model V0702A gas heater, and the blower quit working. How do I troubleshoot the problem?

To eliminate the T-stat from the puzzle, just short the T-stat's two wires together. If it works then it's the T-stat. To check the motor and capacitor, remove the power. Find the common winding of the motor and place one lead of the meter on it (make sure the meter is set to ohms) RX1, place the other lead on the start winding (should be a high resistance), then move it from star to run winding (should be a lower resistance), then measure from start to run and they should add up to basically the same reading as common to run +start. Exception of the common- any Non reading between start and run is a open (broken) winding. Internal overloads are placed in the common winding and are thermal (open because of heat caused by a short), they will reset when they cool down. Also check each winding to ground (the metal housing of the motor), and this should be a very high reading indicating no circuit to ground. The capacitor can be checked by first shorting the terminals together, disconnect an attached wire and placing the leads on the terminals with the meter set at R X 10000 and the meter should rise (numbers) momentarily as the capacitor charges then decrease as it discharges = good capacitor

Pressure switch goodman furnace 100-4 blinks three times, installed new switch still wont start. Also does inducer motor start before gas fires??

2nd question first here: Yes, inducer motor (exhaust fan) must run before gas an fire.
I'm going to assume you can operate and understand a VOM, as well as being able to observe the proper safety procedures for performing service work.

In the case of a control board returning an error code for a failing pressure switch, but the pressure switch actually checks out OK, try this:

Test your exhaust fan power leads for power coming in from the board during the first few seconds at the start of the heating cycle. If power is not showing up there, there is likely another circuit malfunctioning somewhere preventing startup. However, if power is showing up there, then deactivate the system and disconnect the exhaust fan power supply leads from the motor. Test the motor's coil for continuity - a failed exhaust motor coil will result in no vacuum for the pressure switch, hence no heating cycle allowed by the control board.

In my case, the exhaust fan actually failed due to a broken coil lead at the binding post to the push-on connector. I was able to repair the coil lead myself - at no cost - hurray!

Fan runs and it wont ignite

Hi, when a fan runs on a unit before ignition it is a sign of a lockout. One or more of the lomit switches may have been tripped. Here are some sugestions to try.
1. Turn thermostat down all the way.
2. Turn the power off to the unit.
3. Wait 5 mins then turn the power back on and then the t-stat 20' above room temp.

Most units have a small inducer fan and a main blower which circulates the heat through the ducts. If the main blower is the one coming on then more than likely a limit switch has been tripped.

A limit switch (some units have three to five) is a small circular metal unit screwed to parts of the furnace. It normally has two low voltage wires going to it and a small (Really small) little pop up breaker . Locate them and just try pushing the button, if you here a click then you have rest the switch (As long as it does not continue to pop you can call it a freak and and enjoy the heat, however if it continues to trip any number of problems could be the cause of it.

Hope this helps, contact me if you need more help.

My heater are has no heat and i have the problem that i can't swich on any heat so please give any help you can able.

there could be alot of things going on is this gas or electric heat first off? do you have a heat pump system does the outside unit normally run during the winter if so then probley a heat pump...
does the fan come on when you put the thermostat in "fan" position if so ok we got power still to unit... try resetting the breaker first to the heater at electric panel the one marked heat or furnace if not marked go to indoor unit see if it has a plug or breaker on it reset there. try operation again watch it and see what it does if a gas unit there is a series of operation whee does it fail most gas units have a fault light inside you can look at and will help...if electric go back after resetting and try again if nothing remove cover to thermostat do you have good batteries in it if so the take a small wire and jump the terminals "r" and "w" ehich is power adn heat see if it works that way... if nothing then you got an issue with the indoor unit most likely and will need more explanation if it does work then thermostat is either programmed wrong or faulty.. make sure you have it set on hold rather that program... repost if you need more help

I have a reclaimer90 gas forced air furnace, the fan runs non stop

sounds like the High Limit has opened due to over heating. if your filters are dirty it may cause the unit to over heat and the High Limit saftey will turn off the gas and just run the fan till it cools and the safety should close. however the safety could have failed and stuck open , in that case the burner wont come on and the fan wont shut off. look for a flash code on the control board and thier should be a sticker somewhere that tells you what the # of blinks means.

Honeywell TH6000 series thermostat does not turn Fan on.

It's one of two issues; either the wiring to the thermostat is incorrect, or possibly you have an open ground. Depending on your system the wires at the thermostat end might have to pair up on one lead. go to where your unit is and look at the schematic for the control board, it will let you know what color you are looking for on the blower lead -- then make sure the corresponding color matches at the thermostat. Knowing the make and model of you unit and the board on it would allow me to be more specific, hope this helps you out some in the meantime.

then you need toi have them check the fan high limit that is mounted in the blower compartment. if it's closed then the blower fan and the conmbustion air fan will run together.
