    Our craftsman mower isnt getting a spark. Headlights won't come on either. Please help!

    When I turn the key, it only clicks. The blades are up, it's in neutral, it's in park, and it has gas. I used it a week ago and it was fine. I also recharged the battery.

If a small engine wont start its usually one of two problems, its not getting gas, or its not getting spark. easy way to find out if its getting a spark is to remove the plug, put it back back in the connector and just let it hang down while you try to start it. you should see a bright blue spark, if you dont try changing the spark plug. if its getting a spark come back on this site and i'll help you trouble shoot it.

On the toro lx425 there's an ignition fuse which is located by opening the hood and looking on the right hand side next to the tank it's a 20 amp fuse you blu a fuse mine did the same thing and had the same symtems

Pony wont start. i have replaced gas, cleaned carb, replaced plug. it will turn over but wont start. getting gas and fire.


look to see if there is any trash under the seat.there is a safety device and if it is not making contact it will not start.try to put the mower in forward and engage the blades,while not running.push on the mower a few times then try to start it again,
