Import pictures Nikon D3100 get access denied

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Nikon Transfer or Picasa.

My computer can't access the pictures on my Panasonic Lumix DMC LZ3 anymore. It begins to download the pictures and then a message saying access denied comes up and the download is halted. I have tried...

Easiest answer is to take the memory card out of the camera and insert it into a card reader on the computer. This will bypass any problem caused by the camera settings.

Possible reason for "access denied"- you may have protected the pictures in the camera to prevent accidental deletion. This would give "access denied" if you were moving the pictures to the computer rather than copying them, because the move function deletes the originals on the camera after making a copy on the computer. Use the right mouse button to drag the pictures and you will get a dialog allowing you to choose "move" or "copy". I similar problem can happen if the memory card has its write protect switch on.

FinePix V10 Will not turn on.

Don't bother. The SAME exact thing happened to mine after 5 weeks of use. I send it back to Fuji to get it repaired and they give me some BS that the body was seperated. I have to pay $85.00 to repair it. When I got irate the rep HUNG up on ME! I just e-mailed the manager and am waiting for a response. I'm sure I'll have to pay for the repair. They are just making excuses for a crappy product that they don't want to foot the bill to fix. After this I will never buy anything from Fuji again. I saw some bad reviews on line and should have listened.
