Question about Car Video Players
Hello. I found this site in mp3car forum.I broke my lcd touch screen by accident. It is cracked.
Here are some photos of the problem
Everything is working fine music and bluetooth except the touch screen and I can't navigate anything. The monitor of the system is ok it self. it is not broken. The only broken thing is the touch pannel - the upper glass which is put on the screen.
I live in Sofia, Bulgaria and I bought the car from Germany.
I called Toyota Bulgaria but they told me that they can only change the whole device which is EUR 4000 , something impossible as a price for me, it is like almost a whole new car...
As I see the screen is attached with screws so in my opinion maybe it's possible to be changed but I'm not an expert.
I went in one of the biggest audio electronics car services... I went to them for the car alarm when I bought the car
Theywere very kind and one of the technicians took his screw driver anddemontage the system he whole box so that I can see what is writtenon the back.
Here is the text and a quick photo from my phone :
86 113 - 60V410
FWSA 000 694
AISIN AW CO LTS
Ref. No CQ-XS 0570A
Matsushita Electric Industrials Co
which my friends found out leads to Mexico...
I called on the phones in Mexico but they told me they make only interfaces.
We took apart the whole system device.
The screen it self he monitor is just fine.
Unfortunately my Nokia E51 is not very good with the photos in the dark and I didn't have my Olimpus with me.
This is the touch screen. We will have to look to find such one.
There is no number or anything on the touch screen. on this glass
Here are the photos of it
and so far this is the story
Do you know where I can find such a 7 inch touch screen and if we try to put it how should be calibrated and do you think it will work
Thank you, guys very much in advance.
I don't really know how the site works, if it is online talk
It is a just a pice of thin glass. go to any glass shop have them cut one for you. you need to be very carefully remove the sides. that is where the senses are. if you break them you are out of luck.
