Click on the link above and the file will open in a new browser window. You can print it directly from there or save it to your PC for future reference by clicking "File" in the top left corner of the browser window and then "Save As. . ." from the resulting dropdown menu. If you are unable to open the manual after clicking the above link, you will also need to download the latest version of Adobe Reader:
I can't provide direct links to your manuals as you haven't specified the model numbers of your TV or DVD player. However, if you click on the link below and enter the model numbers into the "product search" box, you should be able to obtain your manuals.
I gave this advice earlier, but since your problems is just about the same, I hope this helps.
This problem is linked to a power supply issue. The SSB is part of the power supply chain and will cause system failure if the board is defective. I have seen to many of these type of modular power supply boards fail. The shutdown circuit is detecting excessive voltage/current, and in the process of turning off the set it may have blown something else. I am begining to suspect a design flaw, which happens from time to time. I would suggest having a qualified TV repair person take a look at the TV and work on it.
Kieth Yes the link I am posting has both the convergence ICs and the service manual that you need. They will email the service manual out right after purchase. so you can review it while you wait for the ICs they also provide free installation instructions and free online tech support while you do the repair. Your model is contained in the service manual for model HCL6515 it covers about 6 model 1 of which is your model. You will also need (2) STK392-040 Convergence ICs. here is the link, you will like this site they go the extra distance to help people. http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca/
