Question about Philips Magnavox Learning Universal Remote

NO SOUND/CLEAR PICTURE

I HAVE A 27' PHILIPS MAGNAVOX SMART PLUS SERIES TELEVISION
NEVER HAD A PROBLEM UNTIL RECENT. THE PICTURE IS STILL CLEAR BUT I HAVE NO SOUND..... PLEASE HELP I LOVE MY TELEVISION AND I THINK IT IS SOMETHING SIMPLE THAT CAN BE RESOLVED. ALSO ALL THE CHANNELS HAVE "MONO" ON THEM WHEN CHANGING THE CHANNELS.

Please do not do all caps. It makes it harder for us to understand your problem.
Check the speaker settings in the menu and in the case, BUT NOT UNTIL IT IS UNPLUGGED FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES! TVs have caps that hold up to 30,000 volts and take a while to discharge.

I have a hdtv magnavox 27 inches flat screen, it does well for a while and the I loose the picture or the sound goes crazy


This television is having problems with intermittent component operation. The components have not failed as yet but will with continued use. This could cause more problems with your television. The television should be test for faulty component operation. The Magnavox customer support telephone number is 1-800-705-200. My tv turns on, but there is no picture or sound. It makes whistling and clicking noises. How do I fix it?


This television has had a problem with component failure. You will need to take this television in to a service center for testing and repair. TV makes "Pops" and "Crackles" sounds from the back while viewing


remove the cover and observe the source of the light. if its in the picture tube it can be fixed with a picture rejuvonator. if its a cracked solder joint a soldering iron and solder will fix it.

Are you using the video input? Do you get on screen display? If so you probably have the video (yellow) wire connected to one of the audio inputs.
