Problem with coloured vertical lines covering a 5" section of a 32" logik lcd tv

Hi there,

I'm trying to repair my Logik LOG32LW782 lcd tv. The fault is a set of numerous vertical coloured lines running from the top of the screen to the bottom with an overall width of about 5 inches. The affected section is on the very right side of the screen, and the rest is completely fine and shows a good picture from all inputs.

Can anyone help in suggesting what the cause might be? I've had a bit of experience before in changing inverter boards, but not seen this before. I'm trying to diagnose the cause before I resort to taking it in for repair.

So if anyone can suggest what might be causing it, and/or what part might need replacing or looking at, I'd be very grateful!!

Thanks very much!

    Hi there,

Thanks for the answer. If the driver is having a problem, is there any way of fixing that rathger than replacing the screen? Surely the actual screen is in working order as it's showing light? I've taken tv's apart before, so do you know what part I'd be looking to replace, or what I'd be looking for?

Also, is there any way of finding out how to restore the tv to it's factory defaults? I've not got a manual and can't find anything on the internet...do you know if there's a sequence of buttons that can acheive it at all?

    Thanks very much,

I need a code for a Logic L46FE22

Logik are terrible with remote codes and don't really seem to care about their customers, have a look here for an example - How can I set up sky remote to Logik LCD TV? ' Logik tv

Try these 2058, 1893 or 0726.

The real manufacturers like Sony, Samsung, Panasonic, LG etc, do update their lists. But ones who just stick a badge on someone elses device don't seem to. That is why it is so difficult to get a code for 'in house' products like Logik which is a badge of the Dixon Group.

I have a 22" Logik

The problem is related to the section which processes the video/picture information in the TV. Most likely an IC or its surrounding components.
Try consulting TV repair technician.

New Logik TV Standbymode

If you're relying on cheap cables - like the ones that are usually tossed in with electronics - you could be running into a signal issue because they aren't shielded and they lose alot of signal due to leakage.

You don't have to overpay for Monster cables, mind you, but cables that are shielded - in gold is even better - should help improve your signal.
