the music only transfers using rhapsody and adding files their... also.. i've been having problems with this player as well as you.. mines not letting me transfer any playlists i made to my mp3 player.. its effed up if you ask me lol hope that helps btw
well if your Philips MP3 GoGear freezes up. find somthing small enough to fit in the reset hole and push it in until it shuts down.if ur light shuts off but is still froze on the same screen hold the power button and it wiil power down all the way.l then turn your gogear on and it will be ready to go TRUST ME I JUST DID IT...HAHAHA
Take the video off (as in delete it from the goGear), re-run it through the ArcSoft/Philips Media Converter, reload, and try again. If the file is a music video, it is probably copyrighted and will not be able to play on the Go Gear.
Make sure that there is available memory. If there is, then you will need to do a firmware upgrade and reload the songs onto the player. If you already have the latest firmware, then you will need to reformat the player either in Windows Media Player or the computer. If that fails, use the repair function in the Philips Device Manager.
WARNING: this process will erase all songs off the GoGear. Disconnect the GoGear from computer. Turn the GoGear off. Hold in the volume + button. Reconnect the GoGear while holding in the volume + button. Continue holding the volume + button. After 5-50 seconds, Windows will pop-up a "Found New Hardware Wizard." - complete the wizard (BTW, you can take your hand ff the volume + button now). Good To Go (Gear)! -Tha Mp3 Doctor
