Sorry to say but this motherboard don't have support for Windows 7 that is the reason some of the drivers for it are not working , Asus did not release driver for this that will work with Windows 7 and they are also not listed to be compatible with it even though some drivers will work but the function itself still wont work. Best option here to make everything working is to go back to Windows XP.
You can download drivers for D845GVSR from Intel website. Click here: Select the Operating System (e.g. Windows XP) and Type of Download 'Driver' and download the Audio Drivers Let me know if any further clarification/ assistance is required.

TO look up the mother board,One would have to know what CPU socket it has.(See the asus web link below to look your model up from and to download drivers from, if needed)
Basicly anything that comes withe the board has the driver on the CD.
Audio on board? Yes=driver
Video on board? Yes=driver
USB ports on boardYes=driver
Most MB CD's are self installing.
Asus ,as an aside, is the largest producer of mother boards in the world,producing many of the main-brand boards under the brand names.
i think you not installed the sound driver ... if you have the manufacture cd given for your PC or motherboard at the time of purchase then that cd will be containing the audio driver you can install the audio driver from that by inserting the cd ...
if you dont have the cd then you must download the audio driver from your motherboard manufacture website ...
as you have not mentioned the motherboard model so i couldnt able to give you the website ...
please reply with your motherboard model if you dont have the manufacture cd with you or you can just visit the motherboard manufacture website directly and search for the motherboard model & download the audio drivers for example : if you are using the intel motherboards then you can visit to downloadcenter.intel.com
