I m not able to hear the sound after shifting my computer with asus a8v-mx mother board then installed the o s again with real tek audio software

start with the obvious - your connections in the right holes - ie: green/black etc correct configuration to speakers
does your pc recognise an installed audio card ?
sound muted ?

Always visit the manufacturers website for the latest audio drivers for your OS ie:XP/Vista/Win7

I would try the realtek audio driver instead. there are two different audio drivers for that board. Here is the link:
http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us

select the socket 775 then look for the p5kpl board then look in the audio section and select the realtek driver

Real Tek Audio Chip has stopped working on Acer Aspire AS8930-624

Although the driver appears to be functional you should reinstall it using this driver from Realtek. If your machine doesn't respond to that driver try the AC97 HD codec which is linked from the sidebar on that same page.

Post your results back here, especially if you continue to have problems after install.

No audio

Your machine should use the Realtek HD codecs or the AC97 codecs. Should the AC97 HD codecs not work try the standard codecs. Windows update can sometimes create the problem you're experiencing - a reinstall should do the trick.
