When I press the power button on the remote, the TV light turns green and then immediately goes to a flashing red light. I have also tried using the master switch on the TV (a solution that has worked in the past) and it still comes back to a flashing red light. We have had no power issues. Was watching regular TV last night and just turned off by the remote after I went to bed.

Step 1: Turn on your device. Press the GREEN SET button. While holding the GREEN SET button, press the device button you want to program. Release both buttons.
Step 2: Press the GREEN SET button again. The red light should start flashing.
Step 3: Start pressing the power button until your device turns off.
Step 4: Press the device button again.

Make sure its an original Osram or Philips bulb inside the housing. If its a cheap lamp it will act this way. If it is an original lamp, then you may have a power supply issue. It shouldn't affect your TV but you may want to try resetting the lamp timer by following the instructions that came with the lamp.

Hi, Flashing red light in Sony tv indicates that tv got some internal problem and went on protection mode to avoid further damage. Now it needs service/ repair. Blinking red light also has an error code that has info about possible cause of problem, let me know how many times red light is blinking after 3 seconds ling pause and model number of your tv to provide you helpful info. Thanks.

First, unplug power cable from the back of your TV. You will notice the flashing light is still flashing. Don't worry, go to the Second step.
Second, keep pressing on the POWER button, located on the panel at the top of your TV, to shut off your TV. This will stop the flashing light from appearing.
Third, Plug the power cable back onto your TV
Fourth, press the POWER botton ONCE, using the same button used in the Second step to turn your TV back on.
Fifth, you will see the POWER light comes on, as normal.
Sixth, using your remote control, press the green button to turn on. Your TV should work as normal.
same problem. TV turns on but no picture or sound. when i press power button on the remote control orange light flashes for about a minute and goes back to red.
