When dryer does not heat, or heats too slow, that means that there is a problem either with the heating element, the thermal fuse

Unfortunately the only solution is testing and eventually replacing either the heathing element or the thermal fuse. Both jobs must be performed by a technician.

If you insert model number here you can get replacement parts and exploded view.

See the following suggeations from Repairclinic:

There's no heat If your dryer doesn't heat, check these:

Power from the house
Heating element
Thermal fuse
Wiring
Power from the house Checkto see whether there's power getting to the dryer. Is it plugged in?Check for blown fuses or tripped circuit breakers--your dryer uses twofuses or circuit breakers. The dryer could tumble but not heat if onlyone of the two fuses is blown. If you have circuit breakers, one of thetwo circuit breakers can trip, even if the two for the dryer areconnected.

Heating element Oftena dryer heating element burns out, but doesn't trip the circuit breakeror blow a fuse. The heating element is simply a long coil of specialwire. You can check it for continuity with an ohm meter. No continuitymeans the element is bad and you need to replace it--electric heatingelements aren't repairable.

Thermal fuse Onmany dryers, there's a thermal fuse mounted to the exhaust duct insidethe back cover panel. The fuse--which is about an inch long--is usuallyembedded in black resin and mounted in a white plastic housing. If thefuse has blown, you need to replace it. (You can't re-set it.)

Wiring Acommon problem is for the main wiring connection from the house, at thedryer, to burn and break its connection. Because the dryer can stilltumble with partial power, the connection may be only partiallydefective. You may need to replace both the power cord to the dryer andthe terminal block inside the dryer that the wire is attached to.

The noise could be .... the drum sometimes has stick on metal pads for balance or heat shields that will come up and start smacking on the cabinet of the dryer. Remove or lift the top of the dryer and turn the drum and looks for these pads. if one has lifted either glue it back or cut the part off that has lifted.

As far as the not drying part ..... it could be that the dryer is just getting tired and the heating element is gong bad or it could be something as simple as cleaning out the vent going out of the house. You can do this by disconnecting the dryer from the wall and blowing it out with a leaf blower or having someone come in and do it professionally.

Hope this helps.

The tumble dryer function on my Hoover Performa 1100 WA 110 isnt heating up

The machine has a overheating protection that is blown. But you can reset it. Take if the top cover. You should ser a small black round temp sensor with two wires. And a red button in the middle. Push the red button. It should work. If not it could be many reasons for this

Tumble dryer not going round

It's probably a broken belt. You don't say what kind of dryer it is, but most of them have a belt that couples the motor to the drum.

Maytag dryer not heating up thus not drying clothes

This is usually a simple heating coil malfunction. The coil may have breaks in it causing it not to work. It could also have something to do with 1 of several heating sensors that may be broken, telling the dryer's heating coil that the dryer is too hot, in effect turning off the heating coil. If your dryer has a round lint filter in the rear of the drum, it was 1 of 2 models of Dependable care dryers produced in the 1970's. If this is the case, i supose it would be up to you whether you want to try and get it repaired or not. If you have one of the more recent models,,, the lint filter is directly behind the door, at the front of the drum. and in this case it would probably be a good idea to get it looked at it as Maytag is a relatively dependable brand.

Tumble dryer not drying

Either dryer element has failed, thermostat for drying or the drying condenser fan not working.

There are two heating elements and the top one is for drying.

Dryer does not dry clothes

On the top of the heater box there is a thermal fuse that blows if the dryer overheats, on this model it could occur if the air circulation fan is faulty, or the condenser valve is faulty, alternatively the sump hose filter may be blocked, only a closer inspection of these items will determin which the problem is.

Clothes dryer

washer dryer and dryer ony machines differ in a huge way. the big diff. is the drums on each are completly different sizes. the conventional dryer has the bigger, giving better air flow and tumble to clothes. the w/d has a smaller drum thus less air flow and less tumble between clothes. the best way to see this effect is remove half the clothes after a wash and then select a drying cycle. u will see that by giving the clothes more room to tumble free of each other rather than tumbling in a large ball will dry them. washer dryers are really only a marketing tool.
