Try booting into safe mode and then uninstall it and reinstall it from there. Safe mode runs only certain processes, in which case if there is any interference coming from your card in normal mode, it won't have that in safe mode. If the problem persists - and the machine does not have any malware infections that may cause this problem, contact the supplier of the card to see if there is a bypass around this supposed incompatibility issue. If my ideas work, please do rate me. Thanks.
SOURCE: how to troubleshoot hp G56 keyboard when different
1. Do a BIOS memory test, to check your notebook memory.
2. If OK, make a system backup of your current installation on an external medium.
(just in case you want it back later)
3. Recover the factory setup installation and check the keyboard if it is working OK.
4. If not, the mainboard of the notebook is probably faulty.

I have done the Bios check and all was fine. Did a system restore and that went fine.
A plug in USB keyboard is working fine but the laptop keys on the lower half and return are not working. Before this the V or 4 keys were on auto repeat and filling up the buffers but that has stopped. The keys all feel the same to depress and are not sticky or stiff. Nothing has been spilt on it.
