Memory card I have inserted a Sony Pro Duo card into the 5 in 1 reader. It works fine but I am now unable to eject it. Is there a release mechanism hidden somewhere? Appreciate your advice.

Usually, just press in on the card, & it will pop out. It is a spring loaded release.

    Maybe I wasn't too clear.

The same way that you insert the card is how you get it to pop out. Push the card deeper into the slot, & it will pop out, so you can remove it.

You, also, may be able to go to windows explorer and right-click on the card reader & use eject.

I forgot something, if you are using an external card reader, all you have to do is pull straight out to remove. There will be some resistance, but that is usual.

What I gave you above is for a laptop... Sorry about that because I assume that it is always a laptop with these type of card readers.

Do you need an adapter 4 a memory stick pro duo in a 5 in 1 read

No, just insert the Memory Card in the 5-in-1 Card Reader slot. The Memory Card will appear on the "My Computer" or "Computer" window. Click on that to open the contents of the Memory Card.

Good Luck!!!!!!

Card reader driver doesn't work

there could be two problem. first is that the memory card would have pasword. is so than insert it to the mobile and nutralise the sd card. second is that you might not have the driver for it. for downloading driver, go to this link http://download.cnet.com/1770-20_4-0.html?query=sony+vaio+sd+slot+driver&tag=srch&searchtype=downloads&filterName=platform%3DWindows&filter=platform%3DWindows

This is because your 5-in-1 doesn't support Duo Pro.

How to eject a memory card from the 5-in-1 memory card reader on an acer laptop?

Most of them you just push the card in then a spring will pop it out.

Media Card Reader problem

I'm not sure what is entailed in "using safe eject of hardware" on your set, but unless you are actually in (during) the process of reading or writing files to the card there is no need to use anything like that with SD cards. That may be causing some interference with subsequent cards, so I would try simply unplugging the card and plugging in the next with no intervening operations. that is how it works with evry card reader I have ever used.
