The oven should have a flex already fitted, this will need to be plugged in or connected in to a supply ensuring it is correctly fused, i suggest no more than 3 amp.

Oven cooling fan keeps on spinning

Sounds like you have a oven probe or (if equipped) computer issue. From the looks of it, you dont have a computer on this model, so you probably have a thermostat stuck somewhere in there. The thermostat closes at the set temp, then opens when the unit cools. Sounds like this one is stuck in the closed position, allowing the fan to run all the time. You will have to look and see if you have a wiring diagram on the back of the unit, then find the fan wires and see which thermostat controls it. If no diagram, follow the wires out of the fan and see if on runs to a thermostat. Good luck and let me know if you need further info.

In the UK, to connect to the connection block of a fixed integrated oven in a Kitchen, you must be a Part P Registered electrician. Such an electrician will issue a Minor Works Certificate for this work on completion - otherwise they are not Registered!

Be aware that if the work is not done under Part P and a fire occurs, etc your insurance company are entitled to REFUSE to pay out for the damage including any consequential damage to neighbours property or for loss of life!!

The block has three terminals and the Live, Neutral and Earth are indicated by marks stamped on the metal back of the cooker (if a CE product).

L = Live and takes the Brown covered wire
N = Neutral and takes the Blue covered wire
52080c4.gifor E = Earth (CPC) and takes the green/yellow covered.

If the cable has an uncovered copper third wire or is coloured Red/Black it should be replaced from the connection accessory on the wall behind the cooker with a heat resistant 3-core Butyl cable of sufficient size to cope with the load of the oven.

If you let me know the rating of the oven (label on door) in amps or watts, I'll tell you what size of cable you need.

I would follow these requirements if I were you:

The cooker must be connected to the correct electrical supply as stated on the voltage label on the cooker (This is obvious so far!). It should be connected through a suitable cooker control unit incorporating a double pole switch having a contact separation of at least 3mm in all poles (This means one of those big red switches with "COOKER" written on them). The cooker must NOT be connected to an ordinary domestic power point. The cable size used should be between 6mm squared and 10mm squared twin and earth. Where the installation is protected by a 30 milliamp sensitivity residual current device (RCD Breaker), the combined use of your cooker and other domestic appliances may occasionally cause nuisance tripping. In these instances, the cooker circuit may need to be protected by fitting a 100 milliamp device. This work should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
