It it's device initiated (you pressed the scan button in the operator panel), it should work. If you initiated the scan through a host, then it's won't work. I believe Lexmark has supported this in their 2008 product line up.

Scanmaker 3830 driver for windows 7

You can download: ScanWizard 5 version 6.63 Here: ftp://microtek:[email protected]/microtek/pcfiles/drv_sw5_v6_63_ad.exe
Extract to folder on desktop. 1. Plug in your Scanner 2. Go to Control Panel (Windows 7,8 - 64 and 32 bit) 3. Go to Device Manager 4. Go to Imaging devices (or Other devices) 5. Find what windows have installed Right Click 6. Update Driver Software.. 7. Click - Browse my computer for driver software 8. Click - Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer 9. Click - Have Disk 10. Browse to your desktop or position where you extracted 6.63, point to "....drv_sw5_v6_63_ad\Disk1\Vista\AMD64\..." Pick any of INF files I picked first 11. You will see 4800 Scanner and USB 2.0 Scanner, I picked first 4800 then USB 2.0 and both works., install the scan wizard, restart the computer

Can't install Lexmark C500 printer on my macbook pro. my O is snow leopard (10.6.3)

Unfortunately, the Lexmark C500 printer's support ends up to Mac 10.5 operating system only. There's no available driver for Mac 10.6.3. That would explain why you can't install the printer in your computer. Hope I can assist you more on this.

Connecting my Lexmark X2470 to macbook pro

Hi I'm sorry to say that no Mac o/s drivers exist for your printer according to Lexmark's own site and also according to Mac Forums.
I will keep an eye out but I suggest that you appeal to Lexmark to supply you with the relevant drivers.
Sorry for the lack of support currently available to you.
