I am trying to add a memory module to my HP 2530P. After I install the module the computer will not boot. The caps lock and number lock lights flash. Once the module is removed the computer boots fine. The same module works correctly in a HP 6930p. The module is as follows: HP part number 463409-644 2GB 2RX8 PC2-64006-666-13-E1.
SOURCE: windows xp will not start on my packard bell i media
press F8 very after it start (just in starting mode) you will get the options for booting. Select SAFE MODE and check it will start in that. Once it is started then it will work on normal mode. If problem persists then you have to restore the windows with Window CD/DVD. If you don't want to install a fresh copy just recover the previous one.
best of luck!
Hi there,
What Web browser are you using? (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Firefox etc.)
If you are using Internet Explorer of Firefox you may want to try to uninstall and reinstall your Adobe Flashplayer.
On your keyboard hold down the windows logo and then press R.
Once the run box comes up type in appwiz.cpl
Uninstall Flashplayer
Go to www.adobe.com and then download the latest version of Flash player (make sure you choose the version for your browser and operating system)
Hope this helps!

The memory module was bad. The HP 2530p found the fault right way. It took the HP 6930p a few boot cycles to find the error. Once the 6930p found the error it started flashing caps lock and number lock as well.
Caps lock and number lock lights flashing at boot = memory test fail
