there are only two parts in the machine with enough power to take out the safety switch the motor & the control board you have to disconnect the motor plug from the motor then switch the machine on if it trips the switch its the control board if it doesnt trip the switch its the motor.
Usually, when water fills up to a desired level, for example: choosing a small, medium, or large load. The floating switch will trigger a signal to turn on the motor to turn to start the agitation. In this case, the floating switch is bad or the floating mechanism is not working. Therefore the machine didn't do anything. It needs to access to inside the back panel to check it out. Cheers.
I'm a bit confused you posted under Bosch but you specify Indesit, which is a UK machine. The really bad news is you need to replace the timer. the really really bad news is you can only buy the timers from Indesit, I can't find them anywhere in the US. The really really really bad news is they want 117.99 british pounds for them! plus shipping and handling. Here is a link to the Indesit site where you can purchase one.
Make sure the washer has fully drained, if it has filter, remove and clean, check your user instructions if you are not sure.
If you stillcan't get it to spin after these checks, come back to me.
PLz rate this solyution.
This a common problem with Indesit washers..
It is not a timer but a programme selector switch.
What you need to do is the following.
Switch the m/c on, let the drain pump empty the water, then switch the m/c off.
set the selector switch to one of the black dots on the dial, which is stop/reset.
Then switch washer back on, if the dial still keeps going round and round, then you are going to have to call an engineer, as you have what is called an Anomaly (fault).
Plz leave feedback for this solution.
The easiest way to remove objects from between the drums is to remove the heating element. To do this remove the backplate from the machine. the element is located on the back of the drum and is rectangular shape with curved corners and will be secured by a single nut in the centre. To remove it unscrew the nut and pull the element out, usually the wire will be wrapped around the element, be careful not to damage the rubber seal and make sure the machine is unplugged before attempting. if you need any more help please let me know.
