My kenmore 46745 or 46749 (both models listed on the manual) door is jammed. I accidentally opened the oven door, stopping a cleaning cycle after only 15 seconds, and now the door will not close...the lock...

If you've interrupted the clean cycle or have accidentally set the clean cycle with the oven door open, the latch may have engaged and now the door can't be closed because it will hit the latch. There may be a door activated switch on the front face of the oven. In this case you may need to manually press that door switch with your finger while at the same time canceling the clean cycle to get the latch to retract so the door can close fully again.

Oven does not heat. After setting heat to any level preheating sign comes on but temperature stays at 100 and element does not get hot.

if you can check to make sure you have 220v ad the termila post on the back of the range
then ohm out your element , it should read continuity
but i can be almost 100 percent sure you will need to replace that element

type in your model numder move down to the oven section and you should see your element and cost

hope this helps

How to strip a textrued glass of paint?

I would try a liquid paint remover. You brush it on and let it set and wipe it off. It's typically used on furniture. Lowe's, Target etc. will have it.

How to clean grates on kenmore stove

I'm assuming it's for a gas stove... and we're talking about the grates on top. If so, check to see the texture of the part that touches the stove. If it's rough, like cast iron, Use a product like Gas Grate Cleaner. (sells at most stores. Grey, white, black and red container, looks like Comet.) If it's smooth underneath, put it in the dishwasher! Or soak it in the sink. Or, you can use the gas grate cleaner as well.

Inside racks? That Cleaner works awesome on them too.

Is there an online version of the manual for this stove?

through a process of elimination, I managed to work out how to advance the time by 1 minute, and then added the extra hour for summer time by adding 60 minutes.

Just press the third button from the right once, then + or - in order to increase or reduce the minutes.

Belling format

probably the fan jammed with crud but could be a faulty fan motor. remove the back panel inside the oven and the fan is exposed. try giving it a flick to see if it rotates freely. if no joy then the fan motor needs replacing. faily cheap part and not too hard to fit
