Re: CAN NOT OPEN MY LG 512MB FLASH DISK
Sounds like it is eather corrupted or its has lost its self install files. Try to right click explore. Also try to format the disk it could be that as well. If that does not work. Run a scan disk and see if the drive is truly corrupted.

Hi. How do you open a flash drive anyway? Cause me... I'll just right click the drive then click the "Explore" menu and thats the way to avoid virus menu like the Autoplay(once you double-click the drive, it wont open 'cause it has an extra Autoplay menu}. By the way, does your PC virus-free?Try to check the drive by right-clicking the drive. If you see two Autoplay menus and the other Autoplay is highlighted or the font is thick, your PC surely has a virus. You must remove it first.
Or try to go to do this:
Contol Panel/Administrative Tools/Computer Management/Disk Management and look for the drive. Right-click it and click the Open or Explore menu.
I hope I help you with this kind of suggestion.
You can only format these drives in mode FAT16 or FAT32. Try to format it in FAT32 mode and let Windows choose the default sectors for you. This is the better solution. As I can see, the operating system recognise your drive that mean the correct driver was loaded. After a new format whith the correct params if your flash drive shows the same thing 0 disk space 0 disk space used, your drive is DEAD. It happens if you had unplug your flash drive whithout stoping it by cliking on the icon in the notification window (near the clock), the icon is mini drive whith a green arrow. Allways unplug the USB devices by this because you have the +5 voltage on this connector and if you don't do this an arcking effect happens betwen your device and the connector.
Is in your old computer an USB slot to plug your flash drive? Have you on this the driver for your drive ? This is the firts step to transfear your document to your new computer. If no try an other method as connect the computers in an internal LAN connection. It depend on whith is your operating system.Tell me what is your operating system on each computer.
The card I have always been using is now also suddenly giving this
message. I found an old SanDisk 16MB and a 1GB SanDisk that works
perfectly in my Boss 864 and they also give the same message. Trying to
go into formatting brings the message "no card!"
Windows XP with Service Pack 2 or
higher, or Windows Vista; Internet Explorer version 6 or higher;
Windows Media Player version 11 or higher; an active broadband
connection to the Internet; 1.0 GHz processor; 512 MB RAM; 3 GB free
hard disk drive space.
you should be ok with the movies download and watch.
Other wise you will probablt need new hardware which is really tough to upgrade on a laptop.
