Light media setting for photosmart 4400

I am putting a paper much like dryer sheets through the printer for a craft project, and am wondering if there is a setting for "light media" as there is for "heavy media" on this printer? Thank you

Before you continue with this project, you might want to check and see if the paper type is supported by your printer. An easy way to do this is to check the product specifications page for your product at HP.com

Product Specifications

Once you get to that page, scroll down until you get to the Paper-handling specifications section. Then review the paper tray and paper sizes information. If the paper you're using isn't on that list, then you are taking a risk of causing damage to your project and to the printer.

My photosmart C3150 printer keeps feeding many sheets of paper when it goes to print. This causes a paper jam. How do I get it to only take a single sheet?

Try cleaning the rollers with purified water. See instructions here. Also make sure you fan the paper before loading, try flipping it upside down, and see here. If you have no luck, try another brand of paper, or loading more or fewer sheets...
Good luck, that's a frustrating problem...

Paper mismatch error

I got around this problem by tricking the printer.
The paper sensor, on my printer model hp4500 seems to only sense the paper at the beggining of the print job.
What I did to trick the printer to print on odd size paper is slide the paper adjuster to 8.5 and put a regular white sheet in. Then put your odd size paper under it. When you print your document set the number of copies to 2 and print. The printer is going to sense that the paper is correct, and start the job.
Here is the tricky part... once the first 8.5x11 sheet is almost all the way through quickly slide the paper adjuster over to match the size of your odd width paper. The printer should pick up the odd paper and print the second copy. Fool you printa! You should be able to do batches of odd paper size under the first 8.5X11. I hope this helps.

There is a workaround for this problem by tricking the printer.

How much paper should the paper tray hold. mine

100 sheets:
Document & Media Handling Details Input tray - 100 sheets size: 3 in x 5 in - 8.5 in x 24.0 in weight: 60 g/m2 - 280 g/m2 , ADF - 50 sheets , Output tray - 50 sheets size: 3 in x 5 in - 8.5 in x 24.0 in weight: 60 g/m2 - 280 g/m2 , Input tray - 20 sheets - 4 in x 6 in

Does it jam when you put more paper? Maybe there is and obstruction in the tray area.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

Printing problem with HP 2015 Laserjet Printer

If you have an adjustable paper tray, make sure that the tray is set for the right size paper. Also, you may have some type of sensor in or around the printer tray that tells the computer when the paper tray is empty. Sometimes these sensors get stuck and you have to free them up (very gentley).

Hope that helps - Ghost

I have the canon w8400 and when i try to print it comes up error E0200D Size undetected. Pleas explain i have the same problem! it says ERROR EO2OOD. WTF?

Could be that the button for Sheet / Roll has been pressed. This is a popular error caused by the machine expecting a sheet when you are loading a roll. Make sure the light is located on the roll option rather than the sheet.

If this is the problem, you must first remove all media, then lower the covers and lower the media release lever before the printer will allow you to change between roll & sheet.

Photopaper

You could take some mild soap and water and clean the wheels with that. Change the amount of paper you put into the printer and make sure you fan it before you insert it in.

Another idea I have done is put one sheet of photo paper up on top of the paper supply and put regular paper stock down below that.

Avery Ink Jet Magnetic Sheets - 3270

It worked fine for us on an Epson. We printed about 40 sheets fed one at a time. Do not stack the sheets in the feed hopper, they stick together because of the magnetism.

There is no template because the material is not die cut. It is just full 8.5x11" sheet size.

Paper jam light is on

Hi! I have the same issue. The only solution I still use: select print from document with no paper in the hp's feeder. Let the printer go on "paper out" message, now put the paper into the feeder and press the print button on the printer. Success!
