The only way to reset a system password is to contact dell support. they have a tool to generate a master reset password specific to the service tag of your computer. :) try calling this number 1800 6228965

I was setting my configuration for my wireless modem to my internet modem using my disc I keyed in a wrong username and password how can I change it to the correct one please?

You can access the router through web interface and configure it. All you have to do is connect the router. Follow the steps given below: -
First you have to access the router through web browser (Internet Explorer) by typing the IP address of your router in the address bar, which is usually 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 (written at the back of router) depending upon the make/ model of your router
(unless you've configured otherwise, the default username is admin and the password admin OR password.) and lookup for the security options to do the following: -

Next step is to secure it:
1.On the left-hand side, under Setup, click "Wireless Settings" 2.Under "Security Options", select your desired encryption method (preferably WPA2-PSK)
3.Choose a Network Key - it can be anything, as long as it's 8-63 characters in length
4. Click Apply
Also make the following changes (recommended): -
1. Change the SSID (Name) of the router
2. Change the default administrative user name and password (unless you've configured otherwise, the default username is admin and the password admin OR password.)
(The above step would prevent unauthorized access to your router)

Now your router and your connection would become secure and the user has to provide the network key to access the internet.

On the Motherboard, set the BIOS Configuration Jumper for pins 2 & 3 to clear the password. Turn on the PC for a few seconds and then power it back down and restore the BIOS Configuration Jumper back to normal. The password is now cleared.

We are using your wireless internet but forgot the security password

The security password is the wireless router's encryption key.
When youclick Refresh network list, then Choose yourwireless network and then click Connect to your secured WirelessNetwork, it will asks for a Network Key before allowing you to connectinto your wireless network. This Network Key is either the WEP, orWPA or WPA2 Encryption key that is used to configure the Wireless Router. The Passphraseis an alternate way to set the Encryption key.
When you are requested for a Network Key, you can just enter the Passphrasethat was used to configure the Encryption key in the wireless router. http://www.fixya.com/support/r5270415-network_password_network_address For information on securing your wireless network, configuring the wireless router and configuring the wireless card in thelaptop/computer, please click on this link and follow my instructions :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r3559128-wireless_router_security

I want to disable the system password on my dell computer

I assume that you have the password? Restart your computer. As soon as you see the dell screen, hit the f2 key. This will take you into setup. Look through the different menus and you will find the password options somewhere. You should be able to disable it there.

Cannot open bios set up forgot bios password

Reset the motherboard BIOS. To do this:
1. Open your computer casing where the motherboard lies in.
2. Look for the BIOS jumper settings. It should be near the battery.
3. And there reset the bios settings. (To do this, refer to your motherboard manual.)
4. Once already done. Close the casing and power up your computer.
See how it works.:-)
