Quickcam I have a snowy picture on my cam

    my web cam has a snowy picture i have tried to focus it with the focus ring but it does not work what can i do

Skype picture is snowy


Do you have a lot of dust on your webcam? Try dusting it off. If the front part of the webcam is detachable try removing it, maybe a build up of moisture is on the camera lens.
If the above are false, the webcam is probably faulty

Picture back to cam


Launch the Logitech toolbar onto your desktop
On the pictorial menu open 'Privacy Shades' ( the window blind picture )
If you can see the picture with a square red box next to it - click on the red square to replace it with a green triangle
The privacy shade is now off.

Problem with the picture


Have you tried turning the front lens on your cam. Most cams have a focus that is adjusted this way by hand. Hope this helps.

I cannot locate my webcam on my computer, I reinstalled it


dont know which cam your using but uninstall turn off anti virus and reinstall software. make sure the cam is unplugged during this time.
plug in the cam when the program asks. should restore control function.

I have the logitech quickcam connect and everytime i try to take a picture it says "the photo has been taken" and nothing shows up in the gallery. please help me.


I realized that I changed the name of the folder that stores my pictures from the cam and once I changed it back to the original file name, the pictures started coming up. :)

Cant save pictures


QuickCam Gallery
Your pictures and videos can be viewed in the QuickCam gallery. To view your pictures in the Gallery:
  1. Launch QuickCam (Start > Programs > Logitech > Logitech QuickCam)
  2. From the QuickCam menu, click the QuickCapture button as shown below:

  3. View your pictures and videos in the Gallery area located below the main QuickCapture window as shown below:
    11574.1.0.jpg
For the picture gallery, click in the picture icon:
11577.1.0.jpg

For the video gallery, click on the film icon:
11591.1.0.jpg


My Pictures / My Videos Picture Files:
You can also view your pictures and videos by opening the QuickCam folder in My Pictures or My Videos. To see your pictures this way, do the following:
  1. Open the My Pictures folder (Start > My Pictures) as shown below:
    11619.1.0.jpg

    NOTE: If you have Classic view in Windows XP, simply open the My Documents folder on your desktop and then open the My Pictures folder.
  2. Open the QuickCam folder.
  3. Your pictures will be shown as follows:
    11620.1.0.jpg
  4. To view your pictures, double-click and they will open in the Windows Picture and Fax Viewer or any other picture viewer you have set as your default picture viewer on your computer..

Video Files:
To view your video files:
  1. Open My Documents folder as shown below:
    11621.1.0.jpg
  2. Open the My Videos folder:
    11622.1.0.jpg
  3. Open the QuickCam folder:
    11623.1.0.jpg
  4. Double-click on the video file you wish to view and it will open in Windows Media Player or any other video player you have set as your default video player on your computer.

Logitech Quickcam Orbit AF swivels and picture freezes


I used to have the same problem. Uninstall the software and then download and install the latest version from logitech. Make sure you unplug the cam before installing the updated software.

Every time i try to take a picture it says


if the cam is taking a picture then it is down to the pc for saving not the cam
