My 1993 carmaro makes a wierd sound when i hit the gas hard

I would check the spark plugs and wires or coil packs. Sounds like the ignition system is arcing.

Listen to the engine, if the noise is down low it is rod if it is up high it is valves. IF it is rod knock it will eventually throw the rod.

in the oil pan(sump) there is an oil pick up pipe and a filter on the end of it. The pan being damaged the oil pick up was probably bent and hitting on the big ends or the balance of the crank shaft. have the pan pulled and check for damage on the oil pipe and pick up filter. Replace the pipe and filter as they will be cracked or fractured and in future will break and the pump will run out of oil.==engine failure.

is a hard one could be the hole system is damaged. is the engine making a loud sound. sparks are not a good sign. would say you need a new systerm from cat to middle box.

I do not know what your mileage is but if you are over 110,000 in a DOHC then a cam chain is in order unless it has already been done. when you do it get a kit as the are guides, sprockets, and a tensioner needed as well. when you are putting it back together do the serpentine belt tensioner and the dog bone motor mounts. generally a cam chain sounds more like loud whirr than click. sticky valves click, but that generally goes away as the engine warms up. a/c clutch could make a click cutting in and out if the system is dry and there is nothing to compress. have you tried this in park with the hood open and someone else hitting the gas pedal to hit the magic rpm? you might see something attending the click or get some better idea as to exact location.

Take it back to where you had brakes repaired and have them fix it correctly.

Sound like your fuel pump might need to be replace, while some one crank engine, hit gas tank with hammer (hard), some time's will start, if not possible bad fuel pump.

it all depends if it is a belt then it needs to be replaced every 100,000 miles baces it get streched and worn but if its a chin then you dont have to replace

that is the water pump, replace it
