How can I stop my ge washer from moving all over the floor on spin cycle

My GE Profile front loading washer is always moving all over the floor and not spinning the clothes. We have leveled, releveled, readjusted legs, etc MANY times. I follow directions about putting in items of mixed weights and it still does it. Plus, many times an hour cycle will take two hours. It is not overloaded. In fact, I do twice as many loads as I used to do with my top loader.

Hello dcd123
Welcome

You asked how can I stop my Ge washer from moving all over the floor on spin cycle.

You need to level the washer by using a spirit level and tuning the legs until it is true and level.

let me know how it goes.I'm sure that you just need to level the machine and you're problem is solved.

My ge front loader is making a banging noise while in spin cycle

When I was researching which washer to buy I read that this one is not the best choice to have on a second floor. Ours is on the main floor and can still be a little loud in the spin cycle. Have you balanced the machine properly? Otherwise, I think I read that people have had success putting a thick, dense rubber mat (like a stall mat for horses) under the washer to minimize the sound/wobbling. Good luck!

Vibrates and moves during spin cycle

If there's a loud thumping noise during the spin cycle, the load of clothes has probably gotten unbalanced. Open the lid, redistribute the clothes in the washer, then re-start it. Repeat these steps if necessary.

The legs on the washer are adjustable, the rear legs are often ( not always ) self adjusting, make sure the legs are not stuck and that they can move freely. But the front legs can screw in and out to move the washer depending on the floor the washer is sitting on. Make sure the washer is as low to the floor as possible. When the legs are screwed out too far the washer becomes wobbly. Often on the metal style legs there are lock nuts that can be tightened to secure the legs so they don't move on you. washers where really meant to sit on a cement floor, if your washer is on a wooden floor look carefully at the strength of the floor. If the floor is moving up and down when the washer is running, the floor may not be strong enough to support the washers weight. Most main floor laundry rooms floors are nailed down, the sub-floor is more secure if the sub-floor has been screwed down. Sometimes extra support may have to be added under the flooring to add some strength

During the spin cycle the wash machine spins so hard the wash machine moves

there are several factors here.Has the washer always moved ?Are you on a cement slab.Make sure that all 4 legs are firmly touching floor. If the machine was just recently installed brand new than there may be packing still attached that stabilizes the suspension and that would throw it off.

Walking during the spin cycle

Try placing it on a rubber mat or carpet that has a rubber backing. The floor may be too smooth and allows it to walk.
