There is no way unless you can get the manufacturer to find which retailer they shipped the specific unit to based on the serial number then from the retailer hope that the one who bought the unit used a credit card. That would be the only way. If that does not work then you are now the proud owner of a camera.

If it sat a long time with old batteries, make sure they did not leak and corrode the contacts in the camera. Look at them and clean if necessary.

First, you will need to purchase a memory card, a SD card in this case, if i'm not wrong. Memory card readers are very common and inexpensive, you can get them wherever electronics are sold.

Registering my camera

Make sure the camera is on and pc is selected on the camera screen when connected to the computer. You will need to have PC highlighted and select ok on the camera as this starts the camera and computer to communicate. Once communication established the LCD screen of the camera goes dark and the computer should generate a removable disk drive. Check the System Tray (lower right corner beside the PC time) for Safely Remove Hardware. When you click on it, it should read "Safely Remove USB Mass Storage Device Drive ?:" If you dont see that, then check the Device Manager to see if the camera is recognized as USB Mass Storage Device. The camera uses the driver usbstor.
