Why do i continue to lose my connection to the server when playing a game?

LAN Connection Issues and Port Settings LAN-based matches between players on your internal home network are not routed through the Internet or Battle.net servers. Disconnections from LAN matches are attributed to faulty internal wiring or router settings. Log in to your router's administration page via a Web browser and ensure ports 6112 through 6119 TCP are open for traffic flow. If this does not work, check your network wiring and ensure it's properly seated in the computer's and router's Ethernet ports. Corrupt Server List and Virus Attack If you have recently downloaded any maps or connected to privately hosted servers, it's possible you picked up a virus that altered your server file list and is directly causing connection issues. Scan your computer for viruses, using an updated virus definition database. b> Multiple IP Connections b> If you and a friend share a single license or key, disconnects occur if you attempt logging in while the other is playing or vice versa. Key sharing is against the Terms of Use and can lead to an IP ban or restriction. Ensure no one else has access to your CD key or tries to access the game while you are playing to avoid multiple IP disconnects. b> High Latency Disconnects Internet connections with latency over 500 ms can cause disconnects while playing in heavily populated online matches. Alleviate this issue by closing all connection-intensive programs running on your computer. Reconnect to the .net servers with only running on your computer. If you continue experiencing disconnects, visit Speedtest.net and determine whether your latency is above 500 ms. If so, contact your Internet provider for further troubleshooting. Internet crashing b> If your Internet Explorer keeps randomly crashing (closing by itself), there may be an add-on or temporary page disrupting the connection. Every time you browse the web, Internet Explorer keeps track of the websites you visit. It keeps these pages, along with cookie trackers, in the "Temporary Browsing History" folder. Some websites cause Internet Explorer to crash.

Open the Internet Explorer browser. Go to "Tools > Delete Browsing History." Hit "Delete All." Check off the box that says "Also delete files and settings stored by add-ons." Hit "OK." Close and reopen the browser. b> Disable Add-Ons b> Go to "Start > Search." Type "Internet Explorer" and hit "Enter." The computer will search for any files with this label. Double-click on the file that says "Internet Explorer (No Add-Ons)." This will allow you to browse in IE without any additional plug-ins or add-ons that might be causing the browser to crash. b> Reset Internet Explorer b> Open the IE browser. Go to "Tools > Internet Options." Hit "Advanced." Click on "Reset" and then hit "Enter." Close and reopen the browser. Hope this helps. b>

HI there
Internet Explorer is the problem. Down Mozilla Firefox (obviously from another computer) onto flash disk (memory stick) and install it on your computer. it is a lot more stable, and it free download from www.firefox.com

After configuring the D link ADSL 2640 router, I am unable to browse MSN, login to MSN messenger and severals such sites browsing is not possible

first prep, we need to make sure that we are getting a connection from your isp by connecting your laptop directly to the router. after ensuring that we are getting a connection.try to connect to msn and msn messenger, if your able to connect hardwired try the wireless connectivity it should work, if it would not work, try optimizing your browser by deleting the cookies in internet options if your using internet explorer, if its firefox do the same thing, then close browser and relaunch it.

INTERNET EXPLORER IS NOT WORKING

Please click on the link below

ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/3.6.9/win32/en-US/Firefox%20Setup%203.6.9.exe

Save the file on the desktop and save it in a flash memory or a CD from a working computer and in the computer where your internet explorer is not working, install it and start using it. if it works then we have to update your computer with the latest internet explorer by using the link below.

http://www.discover.msn.com/get/download-ie8-optimized-for-bing-and-msn-3/?WT.mc_id=MSCOM_DLC_US_F_113LSUS004273

Click on download now button and download the latest IE for your windows.

If the links did not work, nor your firefox works then you have to troubleshoot for a no internet issue which includes restarting your DSL modem and wireless router (if you have one)...

Internet explorer not working

Check whether your internet connection is working properly or not. To check this ping to your DNS Server of your internet service provider. If you get a reply from the DNS Server then the problem is with your browser, if so then install another browser like Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome. If you dont get a reply from DNS server contact your ISP and resolve the Issue with them.

Edimax Router BR-6140K Problem

Try to look for MTU settings on the router's admin page. Since your on DSL connection, set the MTU size to 1492 and save the changes. You need to power cycle the router after that. Good Luck!

Wireless adapter gives limited websites

hi debbie
the fact that your computer has internet access shows that your adapter and router is working well

the reason you may be denied access to certain websites may be because of feature called trusted sites in internt explorer

if you hav downloaded mozilla it would import setting from IE so trusted sites would remain

to disable this in ie go to tools>> internet options >>> connections >>> put it on accept all cookies and disable trusted sites

Internet Explorer hangs when connecting through USB adapter

That's bizarre.
Run a full virus and spyware scan.
In IE, open Tools/Internet Options/ Connections and make sure the entries are correct-sometimes there are entries from previous connections.
Also open Advanced and Reset IE to defaults.
Under the General Tab, clear the temp files.
It's hard to call this an adapter problem when it works OK other places.
You might want to try Firefox-it's a better browser anyway, and if it works OK it suggests the problem is with IE:
