I have one and it will not take pictures. It will count down the DLY time and then appears to power off. The handheld will take pictures, IR AIM and Laserworks. Worked fine last year. Surely it isn't that hard to turn on and take pictures. :) Would love to use it. Just haven;t been ble to this year. Barely a year old.

I have same camera, I assume that you have the switch to setup, hold the on/off button for 10 secs

You can buy a new display from Moultree for about $18, install it yourself and it might last a month or 2. Best thing is to go buy a real camera from somebody who want's your return business.

Moultrie D50 game trail camera won't take pictures in dark

Does the flash work? Could be flash circuit or day/night sensor. If you have another D40/D50 camera that flash works but has other problems, swap out the sensors. If not the sensor but the flash circuit then most likely one of the large charge capacitors which has to be soldered in.I use a digital multimeter with I/O capacitor test function..these caps should be about 250mfd.

The camera worked for two months and took a lot of pictures. Now the LCD screen will not display. I replaced the batteries and installed a new SD card. I reset the camera and it still will not work. The IR...

It's probably the small ffc(ribbon cable) connections from control panel to main board...remove top to access control panel;remove 5? screws and CAREFULLY lift control panel from camera...ribbon cable is obvious...it connects at both ends to zif(zero insertion force) connectors...EXTREME CARE HERE...the small brown part lifts to remove pressure to cable and cable can be GENTLY removed...try re-inserting cable CAREFULLY to align conductors with contacts.

I have a L20 moultrie digital game spy camer, when i turn it on it flashes busy on the lcd screen and reset does not take care of it and when i plug it into the usb slot my laptop isn't registering it? ...

I had the same issue with my L-20, replaced it with a new camera, same model, and the same condition started.
Solution: turn off, remove card, remove batteries, wait 1 minute...,install battery and turn on,in auto mode should read no card, insert sd card.
If this happens, replace card with a different one.
Helped me on the spot.
