Vertical multicolored lines covering the whole screen

My Grand Wega has vertical multicolored line covering screen

TV takes a minute or two to warm up (green flashing light) and then I only get randomly colored vertical lines covering the whole screen. No sound, and no visible response from changing sources, etc. Doesn't seem like a lamp issue as I'm at least getting a picture. Thanks for any help on this.

Just a shot in the dark, but if you are using component video cables, double check that they are in the correct inputs and outputs. If this doesn't work or you are not using component video cables then I don't have any other ideas as of now.

Green line running vertically along the edge of picture

If its a LCD projection TV (such as Sony Wega, Hitachi, Epson, Philips, and some Panasonic, some Mitsubishi), and the green image is in the whole screen or just one part as a blob or a line. Is most probably that one of your LCD Color Filters is damaged (burned out or starting to get busted), I don’t know if you can just replace the color filter, I believe you need to change the whole light engine system or the optical block. There are some places around, I found some on ebay but you should definitely try on discountdashmerchantdotcom their price range $260.00 - $330.00

Blue Vertical Lines on the screen

It means the optical block is going bad. Contact Sony support. They will sometimes warranty these even after the 1yr warrany has expired. Have your model and serial numbers handy.

Sony KF50WE610 Vertical Blue Lines Across Screen

the vertical blue lines indicate some interference from other electronic gadgets near your tv. it started showing up on my sony grand wega when i installed my wireless modem. i almost ordered a new rear projection lamp costing over $100 but decided to experiment. i first moved my desk computer farther away from the tv then isolated the wireless modem router by placing it inside a small glass - the vertical blue lines became lighter in color so i dedided to find another small glass that fit inside the first glass container then put the router in the double glass - no more blue lines and my wireless modem router still works.
do some deductive thinking to figure out what's messing up your tv and isolate the interference.
good luck!

Sony WEGA has multicolered vertical lines

OK, much as I have reservations, let's try service mode. To enter service mode, you MUST have the original Sony remote. You need to press these buttons in order, with the TV off. You have about 2 or 3 seconds to complete the series of buttons. Press:
Display
#5 (the 5 on the number keypad)
Vol + (volume up)
power
Then, after the screen is lit, press the "jump" carefully 3 times. If the word "penle appears in the upper left corner, the optical block is OK and it's probably a Q-box problem. It COULD also be the LVDS cable that sends the signal to the optical block. If you press anything else, IMMEDIATELY TURN THE TV OFF AND START AGAIN. The TV should reset to the original values.

SONY GRAND WEGA KDF-60WF655 - VERTICAL LINES

This seems to be common problem with Sony projection tv. I have the KDF-E50A10 that lasted only 2 years. It's sitting in a corner now until I figure out what to do with it. I am not going to spend another grand to repair it!! Never Sony again.

Vertical lines

IF the area of the OSD (on screen display) displays the same vertical blue lines as the rest of the screen, then it is most likely the optical block assembly at fault. It's part number is A1606006A and should cost close to $2,000. I'm assuming the set is out of warranty. I know many people are hooked on Sonys, but as a technican that works on them, I wouldn't want one in my home.
