Hi Kandi, My name is Tom. First, I need to know the proper driver to use. My computer O.S. is Windows 7 home premium. Second, what is the minimum computer RAM, processor size and capability, etc. needed to efficiently operate this particular printer? And third, the interface cable that came with my printer won't fit my computer port. Essentially, what do I need to do (in sequence) to get this machine up and running properly? Thank you so much.
The cable should have a usb at one end and a mini usb at the other
what is in the ram card will be sufficient as the pc downloads any printing into the card in the printer
follow the user manual or download that manual from the manufactures web page
basic connecting is to turn the printer off, connect the cable then turn the printer on ( make sure that there is a power supply for the printer)
go to the control panel and click on add a printer
if you have a disc install it when requested and let the installer wizard to the job
SOURCE: I need fargo pro L printer driver for windows 7
According to the Fargo Website:
http://fargosupport.com/archive_results.asp?archPrinter=5&archSubmit.x=42&archSubmit.y=5
The drivers only go as high as windows xp for now. Hopefully since Windows 7 is coming out soon that they will have a driver available for it shortly.
As this is an older printer, the requirements are very low, a Pentium
class 166mhz computer with 32mb of RAM is the minimum requirement.
By manufacturers documentation, this printer is not supported by Windows 7. Its best if used with a Windows XP platform.
