Mine also has just completewly stopped working after 20 months. Won't power on by battery, when plugged in to car or thru computer USB connection.

Weathermaker 9300ts wont turn on ac compressor. The insind blower is working The fuses at outside unit is good and yes power is there. the heater works. no flasing lights

How do you know power is at the outdoor unit? Did you check it with a meter? Check your breaker. If there's power at the outdoor unit, then shut the power and test your contacter. If the contacter has supply power then check the low voltage (24-28 volts) that operates the contacter, and if none check the low pressure cut-out,high pressure cut-out and make sure the thermostat is calling for cool. All ok so far, then test your capacitor. I forgot to mention to check for loose, broken, and disconnected wires.

My wildgame camera model S4 will not power back up, I've changed the batteries twice and checked them with a volt meter to make sure they are good. I've only had the camera for 1yr.

1) memory card slot/batter covert is open
2)batteries are loades in the wrong direction
3) insufficiente battery voltage
4) poor contact between camera and battery terminal
5) swtich is fault, measure continuity.
God bless you

Power supply problem no switching

( "Power Supply Problem Not Switching "???? )

How do you know it's Not Switching? Do you mean the TV wont turn on when you push the power button on and off on the TV and also with the remote control unit? Is that what you mean? If YES! Then, If your Vizio TV wont turn on and has NO-PICTURE, NO-SOUND and a BLACK SCREEN, Then the TV has an AC or a DC Voltage Problem.

1 - First, check the wall outlet socket by pluging in a lamp to see if you have 110 AC-volts there. If the lamp works, the wall outlet is OK! That means the problem is inside the TV.

2 - Before, you remove the back off the TV. I want to *(CAUTION - YOU)* The Power Voltages inside your TV are Very, DANGEROUS!!! There is 110 AC Volts at a 20-AMP-Rating ***CAN BE A LETHEL DEADLY SHOCK HAZARD to HUMANS!!!*** Also there are DC Voltages ranging from 3.3 to 24 volts. And R-F- VERY-HIGH-VOLTAGE of 20,000 Volts or More.

3 - You will need hand tools and a Digitle Volt Ohm Meter to check AC & DC Voltages and the OHMS Meter section to check resistors, capacitors, coils, grounds and contacts.

4 - With the Back removed, and no-power to the set. Inspect the power board for any signs of BURNED, LOOSE or BROCKEN parts like resistors, capacitors, coils, fuses on all boards. If you discover damaged parts, make a list of them. Then you must deside if you are qualified to do the on board repair or just order a new replacment board.

5 - If on the other hand you didn't discover any damaged parts by your inspection, It's time to put the Meter to good use. Plug the TV power cord to the wall outlet. Set the Meter for AC - voltage range of 200 or more. check for 110 AC volts going to the power supply board fused inputs.
If NO replace the cord. If YES, look on the board for voltage test points marked on the board. (SAMPLE!) 3.3 vdc, 5 vdc, 12 vdc, 24 vdc, and so on. Set Meter for DC Volts now, range 50 to 100. Put the black lead to ground and the RED lead to each test point marked on the board while repetetedly pressing the TV power on & off button..

6 - If ANY of the DC voltages were LOW, WRONG or MISSING, The Main power board is defective and needs to be removed and replaced with a new one. Write down the board number that is on the board and use that number to order the new one. You can order it on the Net!

*****(NOTE)***** If you are not an electronics tech. don't try to fix the old defective board... but, keep it handy, you might need it for parts later. :-)

Hope This helped... GOOD LUCK! NOW, GO FIX YOUR TV!

My 1997 fxstc was running great, turned it off and put a new back rest on it, and now it wont start. jump it off with car and it runs but misses... when i turn it off it wont start on its own... any...

The first thing to do is take the battery out and take it to an automotive parts store. Ask them to "load test" it for you. You may have a cell shorting out. If you have a volt meter, connect it the battery with the red lead to positive and the black lead to negative. Turn the switch on and press the start button. If the battery voltage drops below 10 volts, the battery is probably bad.

You need to check the charging system. To do this you need to fully charge the battery and you'll need a good Digital Volt Ohm Meter. Using the meter's function selector switch, set it to DC VOLTS with a range of 20 volts or greater. Connect the red meter lead to the positive battery post and the black meter lead to the negative battery post. Start the engine and bring it to a high idle. After about a minute or so, your meter should read between 14.5 and 15.0 volts. Any lower than 14 volts, your battery will not be charged.

If you don't have the minimum voltage at the battery in the previous test, you need to check the
alternator to see if it's generating sufficient voltage. You'll have to follow the wires from your voltage regulator going to the lower left front of your engine until you come to a plug. Unplug the plug and look into the engine side of it. You'll see two metal contacts in the rubber plug. This is where you are going to test the voltage from your alternator. Since you'll be testing AC voltage, it makes no difference which meter lead goes into which contact, just one lead into each contact. Set your meter's function selector switch to AC VOLTS with a 50 volt or greater range. Start the engine and bring it to a high idle. Insert one meter lead into each of the metal contacts. Do not let the leads touch each other or the engine case or ground. Your meter should read at least 25 volts.

If you do not have the 25 volts from the alternator, your stator is bad and must be replaced. If you have 25 volts or more but not the 14 volt minimum at the battery, your voltage regulator is probably bad. Make sure you voltage regulator is properly grounded. Check the condition of the wire coming from the regulator going to the battery. This wire is usually larger in diameter than the other two going to the alternator.

Good Luck

Dremel 395 Rotary tool won't turn on or won't stay on but a second or two

Electrically speaking there are a few items to check.

1) The easiest is to remove the two brush holders screws on each side by the power cord. If one of the screws are loose, or the bushes are worn you will get intermittent or no operation.

2) Second use a volt ohm meter to make sure you have voltage on the two brush connectors inside the brush holders when power is on. If you do then open the unit a check continuity on the motor armature to see if it is open, which will cost $13.37. If you do not have voltage, inspect the power cord and switch.

Some parts can be purchased on the below link.

Or contact a dremel service center from the link below.

You will have to find the power source to your outside condensor unit(usually by the unit) and make sure you have power at the box and unit. My be contactor on outside unit or inside for low voltage(26 volts) on the main board. The contactor is the key as it will let you know if the inside unit is sending 26 volts to the contactor which pull in and activates the compressor/fan. If it sending the voltage but not engaging then it is the contactor, if it is not sending the voltage then it is a fuse or the main board. Hope this helps Tim

I have replaced my fuel pump and cannot get it to run. I measured the voltage at the main connector and I have 7 volts. I have only 3 volts at the pump. Do I need a new sending unit? What should the...

Disconnect your battery. Switch your meter to ohms. Don't let the battery terminals touch the metal body. Put the negitive meter lead on the body and the positive meter lead on the one that is only 3 volts at pump. There should be no continuity. If there is, then there might be a short.
Next try putting one meter lead on the 7 volt main connector and the other on the 3 volt supply side. There should be little resistance. If resistance is high then you might have a break in the ciuciut.

I hope this helps.

My kenwood kac7201 amp wont turn on but it has power to it

Recheck the voltage precisely like this:

With your multimeter set to DC volts, the black meter lead on the ground terminal of the amp and the head unit on (so the amp will have remote voltage applied), touch the red lead alternately to the B+ and remote terminals of the amp. If the voltage is below ~11 volts, you need to check the wiring feeding whichever line is too low.
