New cartridge; now won't print any document, fax or copy
I installed a brand new, factory-sealed, cartridge and when I went to set up, I asked it to PRINT out the test doc. I got nothing on the page. I then tried to copy a document, with no luck. I cleaned off the cartridge holder with plain water (it wasn't terribly dirty) and tried again. Still nada. HELP!! Please.

Replacing the Print Cartridge 1 Open the front cover, and then open the top cover by pressing the blue levers on both sides of the top cover. 2 Remove the old print cartridge containing the used ribbon and dispose of it. 3 Remove the plastic stopper from the new print cartridge. Note You can reuse the print cartridge until it breaks. If you purchased refill ribbons, follow the instructions that came with them. 4 Turn the black spool on the right clockwise to tighten the ribbon as shown. 5 Install the new print cartridge by inserting the recessed first, and then placing the cartridge into its four holders. 6 Press down on both sides of the top cover to close it securely. 7 Close the front cover. Ask the sender to make a copy to see if the problem is with the sending machine. Try receiving from another fax machine. Surely you don't have blank copies rec'd and sent as these are two different parts of the machine entirely. I'll assume you mean rec'd and copied. Sounds like you've left a packaging seal on the cartridge to me - or it's a faulty cartridge. Remove the cartridge and check that all packaging has been removed - especially plastic strip that prevents toner from dropping into the cartridge.
YOU MAY USE A CLAEANING SOLUTION ,TYPICALLY A
HYDROGEN PEROXIDE SOLUTION FOR A FEW MINUTES AND THEN CLEANING WITH A BLOTTING PAPER AND GIVING FEW JERKS TO THE CARTRIDGE, ----A RAW SOLUTION,BUT WORKS EFFECTIVELY
i suspect you are correct in cleaning the unit.inkjets if not used often enough the ink will clog the print head. usually the easiest solution is to keep cleaning unit it works again. other wise to clean the print head manually requires the unit to be completely dissambled. it takes a long time to fix it this way. or if replacement costs are acceptable you can replace it. i would just give it a dozen or so more cleanings.
