Keyboards connect several ways. Older systems use a PS/2 connector (round) that plugs into the purple/gray jack on the back of the computer. The mouse plugs into the green jack next to it. If you have a USB keyboard, it plugs into any USB slot. PS/2 connections must be made with the computer off. USB connections work any time. If one slot doesn't work, try another. If the keyboard doesn't work, try another.
If this is a Sylvania Netbook running Win CE 6 it is possible that the operating system simply doesn't have a driver for Virgin Mobile cellphone.
The only way I have been able to connect to the internet is via Wifi or a LAN cable plugged into the back. I doubt you will get any other method to work.
Please note the Wifi can be via a Wifi access point on your cellphone, a portable, mobile hotspot that connects via a USB modem or any other functional Wifi access point.
Make sure you have the USB cable plugged into the BACK of your computer, not the front or a USB hub. If it's a laptop, keep trying different ports. The USB for this machine needs more power than the other ports offer (12 V), something Singer doesn't tell you, and probably doesn't even now.

Tom Tom GPS only brings a car charger and a USB to Mini USB cable that allows you to sync with your computer. For more info on your specific unit visit the Tom Tom site. You can also download the needed interface software for your unit at their web site. The USB cable isn't very expensive if you need to replace it. And once you have it, you will be able to update maps or download and install maps for other countries and even some fun voices if your unit supports it.
Download the software you need first and then connect your TOM TOM.
Follow the prompts. Install any updates and you should be okay.
Connect your Tom Tom using the supplied USB lead. The lead is a USB 'A' lead to USB Mini 'B' lead.
Once you have connected the Tom Tom the unit will ask if you wish to connect to the computer and you press Yes. The unit then appears as another drive if you double click on My Computer.
BE VERY CAREFUL not to delete or alter any files on the Tom Tom unit unless you know exactly what you are doing otherwise it could result in the Tom Tom unit not working any more. Peter
If the problem exists both when you use the vehicle power connector and the usb cable to your computer, then you have to assume that the problem is with the socket on the One. If it's still in warranty, I would send it back to Tom Tom for repair. Contact customer support for repair information.
One suggestion is to plug the Tom Tom using the temporary power cord to you home circuit (not the power source from the car). That worked for me. Sometime the Tom Tom shuts down when left in the hot car requiring a reset. Then the best way is to plug in at home and restart. Try it, otherwise I can't help.
