U need to convert this file to a right dvd format, not just drag and drop them to the disc. and also, u need to choose the right&less limitation software, like iDVD, when you use it to burn files to dvd, it can only played on mac,not the DVD player. For some small software, take (www.aimersoft-mac.com) as a example, it will be less limiation, good for the start users.

Unable to transfer videos from Canon FS300 to my pc or network drive

MOI is a computer file format used primarily to represent information. MOI files are associated with MOD or TOD files whose content they represent. The Pixela ImageMixer Video Editing Software should allow you to save your videos to your hard drive. But you may need to install the latest version of Quicktime Player (free) to view the the .mov files as an alternative to the ImageMixer program's viewer. Your cam can be connected to a mac as an external HDD. Just copy files on Your mac then edit it, for example, with iMovie. Here is a trick. Your movie must be converted to .mov files, so:
Open video file in a quicktime. Press "save as". In a menu select .mov as file type. In "Advanced settings" UNMARK the option "make te movie self-contained". So, You'll get a small .mov file, connected with Your original file. This .mov file now You can drag'n'drop onto iMovie and edit it.
Regards.

It is a Hard Disk type Camcorder. Follow the steps as mentioned on the Link given below to transfer the video from the Camcorder to a Mac Computer.

NOTE: Movie player applications must support MPEG-2 for standard-definition video or AVCHD for high-definition video to open and play these files. Refer to the software manufacturer of the movie player application you are using for additional information and any available updates.

The Apple Macintosh Web site offers MPEG2 Works 4 Advanced 4.2 for download.

The Apple Macintosh Web site has an MPEG-2 Playback component for Quicktime 6 or 7 available for purchase.

Troubleshooting information about importing MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 clips with Apple iMovie software is available on the Apple Macintosh Web site.

For the Apple Mac OS X operating system, DVD authoring software (Capty DVD/VCD 2 ) and MPEG editing software (Capty MPEG Edit EX) is available for purchase from the PIXELA Web site. These applications are for standard-definition video only.

Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Share: How to import .tod files from JVC Everio HDD Camcorder to iMovie?

Requirements: iMovie (Part of the iLife 08 package)

Step 1: Connect the Everio to the Mac (Via USB)
Make sure you are powering the Everio from the mains before connecting your JVC Everio Camcorder.

Step 2: Playback on PC
Select “Playback on PC” on the Everio, once connected you will see the Everio HDD symbol appear on the desktop. The video files on the Everio are stored in the SD Folder/PRG***/MOV***.MOD.

Step 3: Open iMovie
Once you open iMovie, you will see that it recognizes the Everio straight away and will attempt to import your video.

You are now ready to use iMovie to edit your video files.

If need change .tod files to common video formats like mov, mp4, m4v, mpg, mpeg, dv, flv, avi, wmv, 3gp, mkv, mp3, aac, wma, m4a, etc. Mod Tod Video Converter for Mac is a good choice. The program can also convert mod tod to ipod, mod tod to iphone, tod to apple tv, tod to blackberry and more devices!
