Question about Canon PIXMA MP780 All-In-One InkJet Printer

MP780 InUse/Memory Flashing

I don't have a resume button as was suggested. However, in that vein, I tried holdng down the Stop/Reset button, the On/Off button, the Hook button, the Feed Switch button, the Start button, and the OK button....all to no avail. What to do?

Thanks for the attempt however. If you have any other ideas, please send.

I had the same problem, with the addition of a clicking sound, and I too tried the suggested methods to reset the printer.

I then found this post that fixed my problem:

I feel a bit stupid given the cause of the fault, however there seems to be others who have made the same mistake.

Hope this helps.

This is an on going and recognized fault with Canon printers. The solution does not appear to be simply, but these are a few more suggestions, short of purchasing another printer.

Go to the print menu, select preferences and then select profiles. Then select the default setting and click on OK.

Change the setting of paper to Photopaper.

Contact Canon and request a new ink tank. I believe that it is free of charge.

Try running the 'CLEANING' through at least 4 times - it's worth a shot and less expensive then buying a printer head OR a new machine. Good luck!
