I have the Regent HT 391 surround system. It works fine when I play a DVD but I can't get any sound when I am watching television. I have the audio jacks hooked to the tv and the surround sound but can only get my television speakers to work. Can you help me?
In order to watch tv and hear sound through this system u have to have r cabe going though either ur cable box or a vca anything that is cable ready u then hook the system in to that u will then have the sound going throu the system not the tv but if r tv has a buitl in dvd player u may be out of luck sorry lol i just figred this out after having it for more than a year
I have the same system. My Blu-Rays Work fine in 5.1, but the Games do not. (Using a PS3). I have found out that it is because it doesn't support Dolby Digital or DTS. ALL 5.1 video games are Dolby Digital. it uses the Dolby Pro Logic system which is NOT Digital in any way shape or form (to be digital it would need to have a coaxial or an optical/HDMI imput.) If the Movies/Games/Cable/Satelitte you intend to play on it are in a Dolby Digital format, then all you will hear is... Blank.
I'm sorry if this is bad news to anyone, as it was for me, but i personally am going to invest in a NEW surround system that suppourts Dolby Digital Surround Sound.
I need to know how to hook up my home theater to my TV and Dvd.
