Question about Microsoft Halo 2 for Windows
Installed and started game. Got to stairway where bad guys break thru door. Got killed and before restarting I visited the video options just to see what my Nvidia 8400GS would do. Clicked on some anti aliasing and hi detail boxes. Upon return to game, got black screen with error message in a simple blue box (kinda DOS looking).
Here is the good part. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game. I have deleted all saved game folders as well as all Halo folders before 3rd reinstall. I have
reinstalled graphic card drivers. Everytime I start Halo 2 now, I just get the same error box (Video mode not supported). I can hear the audio of the start screen, but no cursor....nothing. I have to alt tab back to the desktop and use task manager to kill Halo.
My video card works fine on all other stuff. I'm playing Crysis, no problem.
System details: Vista sp1 3.4 experience, Dual Core 32 bit 3GHz, 3G ram.
There must be a regedit key...? Something to reset the video mode to default...?
