It just started doing this yesterday. It was working fine in my car (as it has done for about a year now) and then all the frequencies went blank. I brought it inside plugged it in and voila! all of my programmed frequencies were back. I then brought it back out to my car and again - nothing, everything blank again.
Make sure the adapter you use for you car is set for the proper voltage. That was my problem. I must have moved the voltage selector switch off of the proper setting. I set it back at 9 volts and I was back in business.

Hi ibrahl, I too have the same model and vintage and have been experiencing low signal problems for quiet some time now. It only became apparent when we hooked up the ps3 playTV unit and the digital channels we were having problems with on the Aquos was broadcasting fine. Both devices use the same antenna connection so its not an aerial issue. I tried reset back to factory settings and reloaded the channels via auto but now those digital channels I had problems no longer appear on our channel list so they're gone for now. I was wondering the same thing about firmware updates but havent found anything on the Sharp website. Found this video but this model uses USB for updates">
I had the exact same problem happen to me yesterday with my S50. My guess is that the software got corrupted somehow. I fixed mine last night be reinstalling S50 software via USB cable to my PC. Note: You need My Sirius Studio application loaded on your PC. Be sure to press Exit button on My Sirius Software Ap after you reinstall S/W. Patiently wait for S50 to 100% complete before disconnecting. Then, manually turn on S50 (while holding in your hand); do NOT put in car/home dock yet. S50 will then update S/W. When this completes, now you can put in dock. I don't exactly recall, but I think the S50 indicated the dock was being updated, then it defaulted to channel 184 indicating to call Sirius to subscribe. Since I already have a subscription in place on my S50, I just pressed channel 2 (The Blend) from my remote, and then my S50 began updating all channels. Success! I'm so happy my S50 is now working again! Good luck to others experiencing same problem; hope this helps! I can only imagine the frustration trying to get help from Sirius folks for this type of problem...
Call LG. They will have you go through diagnostics over the phone and ask for diagnostic data the TV has in memory.
I have done this about 10 times and my TV usually loses all it's TV guide data after I customize my channel listings (delete all the channels I don't susbscribe to). Within a day or two of calling them, my TV Guide is back to normal.
I will never buy another LG TV. Thank God I bought the extended warranty. I've had the power supply already replaced (this is also the 2nd set..replaced 1st set due to same issue), TV turns itself on at times ( in winter - low humidity/static electricity??), and loses TV Guide listings on a frequent basis (after I change the channel map).
