Same problem on Samsung LN32A330. So far Best Buy told me to forget help, and Samsung says it's my cable companies issue. Even though no other TV in the house has the problem. I'm very disappointed in both Best Buy & Samsung!!

my model is a ln26a450 using comcast digital cable, robo sound only on hd channels

Exactly the same problem with my new LN37A450, and just on the Comcast off-air converted digital channels (4-1, 5-1, etc). I'm wired directly to the cable -- no set top box of any kind. Anyone come up with a solution?

On my new Samsung LCD (don't have model # with me). I get sporadic garbled audio on digital channels (**.1) on Comcast Cable. It will do this until I change channel or will eventually resync and could be fine for quite a while. Of course everyone says it's the other guys fault

I had the same problem with my S4253 using Directv. I then turned off the Dolby Digital on the sound settings on the Directv satellite box. Problem went away.

Our 2 year old Sanyo 50 flat screen has a garbly, audio sound. Is there any way to fix this?

as sanyo is taken over by panasonic, warranty status is therefore unclear, in most countries it is 3 to 5 years warranty, do not meddle with it, check warranty status first here, choose your region:
http://panasonic.net/sanyo/

take serial number, part number and year of manufacture, fill form and you will have info if it is still under warranty in your country/region. if it is under warranty - call numbers provided and arrange it.

if there is no warranty for your unit anymore, any tv technician will help you.

hope this info will help you - do not forget to vote...

Connect with componet cables.

The only digital audio input for this TV will be via the HDMI input. Of course, even with HDMI in, you're only going to get a simple stereo output from the TV. You can use the analog L & R audio inputs for a very similar sound from the TV speakers.

The digital multi-channel audio (Dolby Digital, THX, 5.1, 7.1, etc) encoded in the program should be connected to a suitable multi-channel amplifier with either a TOSLINK (optical), RF (coaxial) or HDMI cable for theatre-like sound. This can be done by (a) cabling from the source (DVD, BluRay Disk, Set Top TV Tuner, etc.) directly to a multi-channel amp and speakers, or (b) from the HDMI output of these devices (DVD, BluRay Disk, Set Top TV Tuner, etc.) into one or both of the TV's HDMI inputs. This will provide only stereo sound output from the TV speakers. You should connect the TV's TOSLINK optical "Digital Output" jack with an optical cable to the amplifier's TOSLINK optical input jack to obtain theatre sound.

To listen to the program shown, you would select the amplifier input assciated with the optical, RF or HDMI input that is connected to the source (DVD, BluRay Disk, Set Top TV Tuner, etc.) if connected directly. If the TV HDMI input(s) are used, they are output to the TV optical output and should be connected to the amplifier optical input. The amp input associated with the optical input should be selected to hear the program with theatre-like sound.

55 inch toshiba led tv audio sometimes gets garbled. must turn set off and on to correct

I have a Samsung 55 inch plasma that has experienced intermitent garbled audio, sometimes very frequent (a couple of minutes between episodes) and long in duration (several minutes). Switching to another channel and back would correct the audio.

I ran the auto program channel function a couple of times and it eliminated the gabled audio problem, except for infrequent (once every hour or two) and very short (a second or two in duration) episodes of gabled audio.

I found a thread on a CNET forum on this subject and it seems that the garbled audio problem affects a number of Samsung flat panel models.

Receiving the sound but no picture on digital TV channels

If you are trying to watch HD TV through the tv and you are only getting sound, it is most likely because you would need an High Definition cable box. Hope it helps

Lg home theater to lg plasma tv

This is a typical problem with TV broadcast UNLESS you use a matrix DSP surround sound mode, most DVD audio is either Dolby digital 5.1 surround or DTS multi-channel surround sound, unless you are viewing a HDTV broadcast with 5.1 Digital sound connected from the TV to the receiver then you are probably receiving a 2 channel Stereo sound format, I would suggest that you try to set your TV input mode to a audio Dolby Pro- Logic which will yield 5.1 and should engage all speakers.

Sound interuptions with Samsung S4253

My set started having sound issues recently. Every now and then, randomly, I get a split second, static sound. It sounds like an old record player when it skips. It happens on all channels HD and digital. Also happens when I'm watching a DVD. This leads me to think that it's not my cable box (Dish Network). I have a Bose 321 aux amp plugged in. I hear it through my aux speakers, as well as directly through the tv set. Not sure what to do. Is it possible my tv's amp is burning out? What could be causing this?

Setting up receive set top box and tv for surround sound

Plug the TV to an open channel on your receiver via this output:
*Rear, 1 x Digital audio output (coaxial) ( TOSLINK )
This will look like a single RCA output plug.
Set that input channel on your receiver to some sort of virtual surround mode because it doesn't look like your HDTV has a decoder in it (meaning it will come out stereo and the receiver will have to fake it).
Turn the volume all the way down on the TV and use the receiver to control TV volume just as you do with DVDs.

*Substitute this with the digital audio output on your set top box if you are sending video only to the TV from the set top box (component, DVI or s-video connections). So video goes to the TV, audio to the receiver.

It is set to Cable.

There is no 'sound' of volume bar.

It is almost impossible to get any volume out of the TV sometimes, then it starts blaring.

Piece of junk.
