FP5315 monitor is black.

My FP5315 monitor just started flickering between full color and black. When I turn the monitor off and on again everything has a red tint to it. I turned off my computer and monitor for a night and turned it back on and it was still staying on for 3 seconds and turning off. When I did see the Compaq or windows logo they were more red than usual. It is sevral years old so I think it is just starting to fail due to old age.
