Hi!

My phone also fell into a bucket full of water. I just gave the phone to the service center for repair and it's now absolutely fine.

I would suggest you to do the same. Also, don't try to switch on the phone as it may lead to short circuit in your phone.

Thank You

Fell my xperia s in salt water

This happened to my phone once, I just took it apart (the bits I could, sim card, battery, cover etc) then dried it for quite some time with a hairdrier (on a cool setting) then left it over night apart. Put it back together in the morning and it worked. I'm guessing there was still water/ moisture inside of it to stop it working..

Tip

I dropped my phone is water, and i took i apart ASAP. i dried it with a hair...

Take it out of the water and remove the battery. Then put the battery in dry rice and cover it overnight. The rice sucks out all the water and you should be ready to go. It worked for me.

Dropped phone in water

SIM is probably bad or a little wet. but wait and let everything dry out and see if it works. Mine was soaked and the next morning worked fine. at least you probably won't have to buy a new phone.

I spilled sprite on my g1!!

I dropped my motorola sliver in the bathtub full of water and it quit working totally. I called ATT where I got the phone and they told me to look under the battery. I lifted out the battery and they asked me if there was a white dot under it. I told them no but there was a red one. They said "gone". Meaning that the dot was usually white but if it turns red, the circuits are water/liquid damaged and to throw it away and get another phone. Look under your battery.

Not charings

First of all, do not turn it on. Take out the battery, and completely dry the phone before trying to use again.
Did you dry the phone completely? If not here is the procedure to take out all moisture trapped in the phone: Dry the phone, battery, any accessory, etc. with cloth and wrap each piece, phone and accessories, in newspaper. Place a few handfuls of rice into a plastic bag and then place the wrapped phone in the bag with rice. The newspaper wrapping avoids direct contact of rice with your phone because the dust from the rice can get into the small areas of the phone. The newspaper and rice will absorb moisture. Leave it there (with the bag open) at least 24 hrs. Also, check the contacts between phone and battery, if necessary align or clean.

Water damaged Moto razor

I know you don't want to here this, so be kind with your rating, but the best solution is a new phone. The reason is this: no matter what you do, water is a conductor and the dried residue it leaves behind will also short things out. And water will get to places that you can't.

Sorry, hope that helped save you some time...
