F366489 rca The channels keep cycling through on this tv. I've figured out that it is the button control board. However, I cannot find a place to purchase one! Can someone help me get ahold of this part. Part number is 1515631f thanks for your time.

I have the same problem and suspect that one of the buttons is stuck in the on or pushed in position. How can I get a new circuit board?

Same problem/guide plus 36" rca keeps cycling through the channels.

Had a shop replace most of the innards within the past 60 days due to same problem..was working fine until now. I suspect guide+ may be part of the problem as the channels stop cycling if i an in guideplus menu (I dont use guide+ but i was messing around with the remote trying to stop the cycling through channels..

Just picked up this free tv. RCA TruFlat...it's changing channels

The micro buttons on the tv are causing the problem. Mine kept going up in the channels like you are holding the button down. I took the button board and clipped to prongs on the micro switch to the channel up button. It has three prongs on one side and two on the other that you clip.I use the remote all the time any way and it will not affect that. You need to figure out which one it is by watching the channel direction up or down. Careful of HIGH voltage in back of TV even unplugged.

Why does my RCA TV cycle through channels on its own?

this is the same type of problem happening with other rca models and I know it is the EPROM CHIP but why this is failing is either because of design flaw , dirty enviroment that they were made in , to much voltage or current to the chip or too much of a draw from the chip causing it to fail . Or even a random frequency from the IR sensor or its circut I'm still investigating and testing.
leave the tv unplugged for at least 3 weeks durring this time resolder any solder that don't look good , I did this and it lasted for about 6 months(always plugged in to the wall) before it started doing it again. model # 27v412t

RCA TruFlat 27F520T 27" TV Flipping Through Channels

Dear Friend,

All I can suggest is to take the back cover off, and look for signs of "Bulging caps" on the PSU and look for any "dry Joints"..

Remember the tube can hold a charge of 25,000v so if you touch it in the wrong place you will be able to defy gravity.

Where can I get the part?

Take your board to the local TV repair shop. They will be able to replace the individual micro switches and save you a small fortune replacing the whole control board.

Why does my RCA TV cycle through channels on its own?

Hi there!
I think your remote may be at fault. Liquid spill or sweat from the hand accumelates on the inside over some time and then becomes sticky. Some of the buttons may be permanently activated. Then other functions won't work. Have someone check it for you or if familiar yourself. Regards, JUS004

The most likely problem is a stuck tact switch, if it goes up in channel number, 5, 6, 7, etc. then the channel up button is stuck, if it counts down it`s obviously the ch. down button. Problem is you have to remove the guts of the set to get at the control boards screws, you can try turning on the set and poke around the offending push button with a tooth-pick, if it stops changing channels leave it alone and use your remote from now on to change channels, if you can`t get it to stop the tact switches or the control board module will have to be swapped out, hope this helps
