Question about Televison & Video
Hi, i have problem with my card on linux. I found original drivers for it and they are for linux too. I compiled driver, everythings ok but there is no WPA support. So i thought i have to install WPA_supplicant brought with this driver. I did it. The thing is i can't configure it to let network-manager use wpa there are only wep and leap options when it asks password. On the linux driver rt2500pci, not original, wpa works but sometimes it looses connection or its very slow for long time. So the point is tell me step by step how to configure WPA_supplicant because i have no idea, i spent 3 days on it! Im on Ubuntu 7.10 as i said. My network is WPA2-PSK. My card is Edimax EW-7108Pcg driver is called sometime RT61 for it. My mail is email@example.com

delete the controller in the device manager and reboot your computer.
If that does not work, please add a little more information, ie. what the device manager shows when you open the properties for the controller.

SOURCE: Need security option
The security code is set in the wireless section of the router. You need to access the router's setup page and go to wireless. Under security you will see the encryption key which you need for your adapter.
The setup page is at 192.168.0.1. Put that in your browser.
It will open to the router's setup page.
You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now. By default the username is admin, and the password is password. Click the Ok button to log in to your router. Then go to wireless tab, then security.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.

I'm thinking that you might have to install the chipset drivers, also.
Because the sound is part of the motherboard, they will be needed.
