If you require a transponder in order to start the vehicle, it could be a few problems, could be the immobilizer transponder fob, or the immobilizer antenna, or even the immobilizer brain or relay. Few steps to tell, if the LED light doesn't go out for the immobilizer its the transponder fob. If the light does go out then it could be the antenna, brain or relay. These are the problem areas that can be diagnosed.

Get the alarm removed and have a decent brand fitted, autowatch are pretty poor, Cobra are a good brand, i had a company called Car-tel fit mine (freephone 0808 118 1545) and they give a lifetime guarantee on Cobra alarm/immobilisers, there's also the slim chance its not alarm related, have the old one took off and leave it a couple of weeks before you have the new one fitted just in case its a problem with the car!

Car toad fob immobilliserdoes not work

Most newer vehicles that employ a Keyfob armed cutoff also tie it into the door locks. Using the Key to open the door should disable the cutoff signal. While I have seen some that ony allow the drivers door keylock to disingage the cutoff it is your best way to see if the door lock will allow it to start.

Make sure that the starter wires are secure and in the right place first. It could also be a sticking solenoid. I suspect a wire not connected to the starter. Let me know if it works so I can help you more.
