Question about Whirlpool Ultimate Care II LSQ9564J Top Load Washer

Whirlpool Ultimate Care II washer won't spin clothes more dry than soggy

My washer spins, but it's not spinning at a high enough speed that gets the clothes any less than soggy. I've tried to turn it to different agitation/spin speeds, but the fastest speed still does the same. Would a motor be the problem or could it be something else? Thank you! I have a Whirlpool Ultimate Care II, LSQ9564J - Thanks, Dougm@kw.com

I saw oil and wondered where it had come from - you are right on - too much for me to fix myself - time for the junk yard... Thanks!

Tip the washer backward, inspect the bottom of the gearcase for oil. If oil is present, the oil has migrated to the clutch causing it to slip during spin. The gearcase and clutch will have to be replaced if oil is present. Check the owners manual for limited warranty on the gearcase. If oil is not present, the clutch is just worn and should be replaced.

sounds like your clutch could be slipping not giving you full speed spin, i've heard you can install a #10 washer into the clutch spring cap and it would work fine , keeping you from replacing the clutch!

I have a whirlpool ultimate care 2 top load washer no spin

Sounds as if the drive hub which the tub is attached to maybe free spinning. Not an expensive part but does require a special tool called a spanner wrench to remove and replace.

Whirlpool Ultimate Care II LSQ8243HQ0 weak spin, wet clothes

if it has a belt, it may be slipping, but you would smell a bit of burning rubber.in high use times(4 to 8 pm), the current of electric supply is low, thus less power. third, motor may need to be replaced. plz rate-bozcro

Loud noise

similar thing happened to me. Check to see if a screw (in my case) or other item fell through one of the holes in the bottom of the basket. Feel really well because in my case it was hard to tell there was anything in there.

Will not high spin

The brake assembly is failing ,try this if you can, loosen the 3 transmission bolts about a quarter inch and try it in spin.If it picks up speed than you are going to be due to have the break assembly replaced.High cost repair. :(
